Attractions
Whitehouse is a small fishing town on the South west coast of Jamaica on the borders of Westmoreland and St Elizabeth. It is a safe area for tourists and visitors. The area is largely untouched by mega-resort development. The only large hotel in the area is Sandals South Coast, many of our guests stay in Palm Trees because they have come to Jamaica to attend a function at Sandals e.g. wedding reception, but stay at Palm Trees because we are only a thousand yards from Sandals, we are much more affordable and if you have anyone under eighteen years old in your group you will not be able to stay at Sandals. There is plenty of fresh produce at roadside fruit stands. Fresh-caught fish is plentiful especially in Whitehouse. There is a friendly community atmosphere about the area. Floyd’s Pelican Bar, called the "coolest bar in the Caribbean" is well worth a visit as is Jake’s Place and Jack Spratt’s in Treasure Beach. Lovers Leap, YS Falls, Bamboo Avenue and the Appleton Estate rum tour should not be missed and seeing the crocodiles on the Black River Safari is a great experience.
