Jacques Cousteau is known to have discovered this natural gift. It accommodates turtles and a shoal of tropical fish, which are attractions to visitors. Different varieties of birds are also spotted here.

Devil's Backbone: Extending across the northern end of the island, it is a jagged-edge reef. It is known to be a paradise for snorkelers. Inside it, divers can come across moray eels, stingrays, angelfish, parrotfish, grunts and snapper. It is an ideal place for those who are expert in diving and other water sports activities.

Hatchet Bay Cave: Located on the western side of Queen's Highway, it is the largest cave discovered on this island. It extends 1100 feet underground with twisting passages. It has stalagmite and stalactite formations. Very old drawing of charcoal signatures is found the walls of the cave. It is known to have been the haven for pirates. It is suggested that tourists should go inside this cave with a knowledgeable guide.

Sapphire Blue Hole: Located on the northern part of the island, Blue Hole looks like a deep gorge. Surrounded by dense jungles all around, it creates a good ambience for tourists to rejuvenate and revitalize themselves.  It is a good place for them to enjoying diving and sightseeing.

However, the best time to visit this island is from 15th December to 15 April, which is the peak season for tourists to enjoy a vacation in this destination. Since this island comes under hurricane belt, tourists are advised not to venture into the region between 1st June to 30th November.
