Description

Oak Cottage, located in southern Georgia, is situated on Sea Pond Plantation,  420 acres of natural woodlands, planted pine, cypress swamp, marshlands, and open pastures. Other structures on the  property include the 150 year-old plantation house, and a mule barn which currently shelters chickens and geese.

Oak cottage has a living room, 2 bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen, a utility room, a  full bath, front and back screened in porches, and a deck.

Oak Cottage is fully furnished, with a queen sized bed in the master bedroom and a daybed and trundle in the guest room. Additional sleeping arrangements  are provided by a sleeper sofa in the living room.

Oak Cottage sleeps 6 comfortably.

Oak Cottage has central heat and air, ceiling fans and  gas logs in the living-room  fireplace.

The utility  room has a washer and a dryer.

The kitchen is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave,  and dishwasher. Wireless internet, computer speakers, blueray player, and HD TV are provided.

Nearby towns: Oak cottage is ten miles south of of Quitman, Georgia, noted for its charming old homes, attractive gardens, and antique shops. Other towns in the vicinity  worth checking out are Moultrie, Thomasville, and Valdosta, Georgia, and the Florida towns of Madison and Monticello.

Local attractions include Suwannee River State  Park, the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, Edward Ball Wakulla Springs State Park, as well as north Florida’s numerous crystal clear rivers, perfect for canoeing. Gulf and Atlantic beaches  are an easy two hour drive.
