PRIVATE Lakefront cottage farmhouse décor-newly built-full kitchen/living room-cozy bedroom/full bath with washer/dryer. On 2.5 acres. Two flat screen TVs with cable/Firestick-high end bamboo hard wood flooring-comfortable high thread count sheets on queen bed. Sleeper sofa in livingroom. Kitchen appliances-gas range-dishwasher-microwave-Keurig coffee bar. Wooded setting-large deck with views of the lake. Wireless high-speed internet. Gas grill and firepit for use by guests. PET FRIENDLY.
The space
The property is in a very private, quiet area of Odessa. We are on a dead-end street with very little traffic.
Guest access
You will have access to your Lakehouse cottage and the entire property. We will soon be adding a party house on the small island near the lakefront. The party house will be a barn with an outdoor kitchen and fireplace. Stay tuned
Interaction with guests
My fiancé and I live on the property. You can hang out with us (we are rather fun) or if you prefer, you will have no idea we are here...SMILE.. except to see us tend to the animals.
Other things to note
The property is a farm-like setting. We love to share our animals and passions with our guests. We have friendly free-range chickens, a darling lab mix (Lola), a Great Pyrenees puppy (Zori), a lion-head rabbit (Pumpkin), two Nigerian dwarf goats (Calypso and Irie), and a Khatadan lamb (Lamby) SO MUCH FUN HERE!!!
We recently have begun hosting outdoor weddings and parties by the lake. If you are interested, ask about the affordable extra fee for the rental of the backyard. We are evaluating becoming a full service wedding venue.
This is a very quiet, very private property on a dead end street. The property backs up to Lake Juanita which is a private ski sized lake. We are close to the historic town of Tarpon Springs which is famous for sponge diving. We are also close to beaches and not far from Busch Gardens and historic Ybor City (settled by Cuban cigar makers before
We have a family of red tailed hawks that returns to add to their family every year. We also have a family of Great Horned Owls living on the property.

The lakehouse is so cute and simple. It’s perfect for a little getaway from your hectic schedule. The interior decorating is amazing, really makes you feel comfortable and warm. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice relaxing trip!
AMAZING! I am at a total loss of words for this place. It is absolutely magical and take it from me who spent my birthday there, it is an absolute gem. If you like outdoors or animals or water view or amazing hosts who will be your new friends or all of the above this is the best place to stay! I promise this will not let you down and exceed your expectations no matter what you are looking for.
Thank you so much for welcoming me and my dog with open arms. It felt like I was with friends I have known forever. My trip was amazing. I came to find peace and heal my soul and I did just that. There's something about having a nice warm cup of coffee on that beautiful porch looking out at the beautiful lake and the squirrels running and playing in the trees while my dog sits next to me that just brings warmth to my heart and a smile on my face. Staying at Laurel's was incredible. The Lakehouse is inviting and perfectly located. We loved the privacy of the space and the amenities. The kitchen was fabulous and the couch perfect place to curl up and watch a movie. A truly wonderful getaway with an equally hospitable host!
I had wonderful short stay at Laurel's place, worm welcome upon my arrival, cool touches and décor at the lake house, peaceful and love her dogs , enjoyed all the animals, comfortable bed, great stylish bathroom one drawback is the Wi Fi keeps dropping signals overall Love the place great for totally relax visit and vacationing
