Description

Nestled within primary rainforest with its own creek running down from the mountain side, Jungle Creek is aptly named. A home away from home, we provide a safe, private, convenient retreat that allows you to relax and immerse yourself in our unique jungle environment. Be prepared to share your garden as our ecosystem is teeming with wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, iguanas, butterflies, toucans and many other species.

Jungle Creek offers comfortable and clean accommodation spread over four villas and is an ideal location for large groups of friends or family as our flexible layout allows guests to both socialize, but still enjoy privacy if desired. The property boasts four outdoor eating areas, pathways that lead to our garden area overlooking the creek, a large hammock area and a private pool with sun deck, gas grill and lounge chairs.

The homes have AC, Wifi internet, 5 Televisions with cable, 4 kitchens, 3 King size beds, 5 Queen beds, and a double bed. Extra beds can be added to accommodate a few more quests (21 max)  We have on-site management that is available to answer questions, share local knowledge, arrange tours and transportation and ensure your vacation expectations are exceeded in every way.  Your biggest decision will be choosing which lounge chair or hammock you are going to relax and soak up the tropical sun at Jungle Creek.

We live on the on the property as your private concierge to help you with recommendations on restaurants, tours, live music, shopping etc. or anything you might need in room ie; towels, maintenance.

Our neighborhood is ( we think) in the perfect location. Tucked in the jungle just 350 meters from main road, in a quiet neighborhood, but just 2 minutes from everything.

LOOK WHAT WE HAVE RIGHT IN OUR BACK YARD! You can hike to this waterfall just 30 minutes behind our property! Watch this awesome video shot by a group of our guests enjoying themselves!

Manuel Antonio is the perfect introduction to Costa Rica. Spectacular views, activities, tours, restaurants and the local wildlife is everywhere. If you want some adventure you can travel through the palm plantations on an ATV, river raft down the rushing river, or zipline through the canopy. If you want more of a relaxing experience enjoy a massage in your room with our massage therapist who comes to the property. If you prefer the spa experience there are many spas in Manuel Antonio. Yoga is a great way to release any of the stress you want to leave at home. If you would like to practice on the property we do have an instructor that does private lessons or you can join a class over looking the Pacific Ocean. The wildlife is everywhere and you are sure to see monkeys, sloths, and iguanas during your stay at Jungle Creek. The National Park is a must-see where you are almost guaranteed to see it all with a guided tour which is informational and fun.

The national motto in Costa Rica, "Pura Vida" sums up the culture and atmosphere you will experience during your stay in Manuel Antonio. The literal translation for Pura Vida is Pure Life.  But everyone in Costa Rica uses it as a greeting or a way of saying good bye, etc.  People say that the surfers brought that phrase here in the sixties and it was said to express the love of the simple and pure lifestyle.  You will hear it a lot once you get here. Relax and enjoy your vacation where people choose to live the simple life.

Our home away from home
Ang S.

We chose Jungle Creek as our destination to explore & enjoy Costa Rica and we were not disappointed as we thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay over Christmas and New Years! We rented the entire Property so our extended family of 11 could enjoy Jungle Creek to ourselves!! Pre-arrival Paula & Clark the owners of Jungle Creek were great at correspondence via email. They were willing to answer any questions or help with any request that they possibly could. I would receive a reply easily within a day. Paula is very helpful in planning any excursions that you are interested in-she will personally book the tour company & make the arrangements. Out of the 4 excursions we book none of them requested a deposit & we paid for them the day the we went. If you are not sure what excursions are available during your stay, Paula has assembled a very detail list of various tours that include prices, pick up times, duration & what's included. She sends it via email and after you have made your choices she will respond with a personal itinerary for your stay! It's that easy!! FYI our favorites were the waterfall tour & the ziplining -both were fantastic & highly recommended. Arrival Jungle Creek is approx a 2.5 hr drive from the airport SJO. If you need a transfer to JC again Paula will make arrangements for a driver to pick u up at airport when you arrive & for your departure. Paula & Clark greeted us upon arrival. Paula gave us a quick tour of the facilities and provided us with info that would help our stay at Jungle Creek. Each of the villas had a gift basket full of goodies waiting for us and was very much appreciated. Villas All the villas were well maintained & beautifully decorated. All were extremely clean upon arrival & stocked with many amenities. In our 10 day stay, we had maid service twice-they clean the villas from top to bottom including new bed linens & towels. Be sure to tip as this mother/daughter team work very hard cleaning up after you!! As well during your stay, the gardener/maintenance are taking care of the grounds where ever you are not! They try their best not to interrupt your stay while doing their jobs. Alma Pacifica-largest of the kitchens fully supplied to prepare your meals. If not provided, Paula will do her best to assist. I needed a hand mixer to whip up some dream whip and Paula let me borrow her personal one!! King in main bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, while the 2 other bedrooms had queens ( 3 in all) Individual air conditioners in all 3 bedrooms as well as main living area-only 1 of air conditioners needed to be attended to which was done immediately & efficiently after being brought to Paula's attention. The villa is poolside & by the patio/ grill. Dos Palma-large bathroom & shower. King in 1st bedroom & queen in 2nd-both had individual air conditioners that cooled off the rooms quickly. It's located under Alma Pacifica & only a short walk to pool/ patio. Mona Vista-most private villa with its outdoor living area ( table & sofa/ chairs) Paula arranged massages for us here on the patio-it was wonderful as we were outside privately enjoying a body massage listening to the outdoor fountain & whispers of the jungle!! Awesome experience! Both bedrooms had queens with individual air conditioners as well as extremely large bathroom with twin showers! It's located partially under main patio and Alma Pacifica. El Gecko-a large air conditioned studio with king just off the main pool & living area. Smallest of the kitchens & bathrooms which truthfully is all u need for 2! Perfect honeymoon suite! Pool & outdoor living area- large beautiful wood table that seated all 11 of us as we shared our dinner together. We prepared many of our meals on the grill/ bbq that is provided. The area is protected from the sun & rain with a canopy; in the evenings it is lighted so it was a great place to gather to play board games & visit. The pool is refreshing & Paula provides floaties to use during your stay. We spent a lot of time at beach but it was great after an excursion to hop in the pool to cool off! The grounds- the jungle & gardens around the villas are breathtaking! I loved enjoying my coffee in a lounge chair poolside listening to the jungle!! So relaxing! During our 10 days we were visited by TiTi monkeys, iguanas, red macaws, & even got to see a sloth. It was awesome & made for great memories. Waterfall-there is a beautiful waterfall that you can jump off of about a 1/2 hr walk thru the jungle via a creek. Paula gives you detailed instructions how to get there & if your lucky her dogs "Susie" & "Goldie" will accompany you! Members of our family went 3 times as it was that much fun plus it's free!! Getting around During our entire 10 day stay, all 11 of us travelled by bus & taxi -no problems! It's less than a 5 min walk from JC to main road where you could catch a bus to either Manuel Antonio or Quepos for 300 colones pax. Paula gives you tips on how to use the bus but it's really this simple. Stand at " Ronny's Place" sign to go to the main beach, restaurants or Manuel Antonio National Park or stand on the other side of main road in front of "ADR" to go into Quepos to get groceries at the "Pali" or the farmers market. We used the bus as early as 7am & as late as 9pm and never felt unsafe-most times we had a seat but other times we stood no problem! The bus came about every 15-20 min either way. We also used a taxi when it was more convenient than a bus! It was 4000 colones ( 8USD) to Manuel Antonio or 3000 colones (6 USD) from Quepos. It was best way to haul groceries back or if in a hurry. Plus u were dropped off right at Jungle Creek. No walking! Just be sure to negotiate $$ before u get in-we had no objections to these fares. Overall our entire family had a blast at Jungle Creek-so many memories made!! It was our home away from home! Do not hesitate to stay here! Jungle Creek offered everything our family needed for a wonderful vacation!

Best Trip Ever!!!!

From the moment I made reservations, Paula and Clark were warm and friendly. .and competent. We had 6 couples coming from all over the globe. They arranged Transpo from airport to place, suggested stops along the way. We had a welcome basket including a fresh pineapple. The place is amazing! We saw monkeys and partots while swimming in pool. The hike to waterfall is a great walk and you really are in the jungle. We rented the whole property. Had plenty of room to prepare meals although we talky only ate breakfast at home. Paula recommended places to eat which were excellent, tours to do, beaches to visit, how to ride the bus and even went out to dinner with us on our last night. Bobo Roja excellent views. I can't remember names of all the restaurants but we never had a bad meal. MARY'S on the beach provided our umbrellas, chairs, drinks, etc. All recommended by Paula. We even order pizza in one night while listening to a thunderstorm. Great people, great property, great trip!!!

Large ?group? stay at Jungle Creek
Consuelo H

18 of us wanted to visit Manual Antonio in May. We booked the entire property with Paula back in November 2015. From booking to our actual stay we bombarded Paula with questions and she was very patient and helpful answering us immediately. The property is very clean and found everything in order. All rooms have AC and full kitchens. Paula lives in upstairs unit and was available to answer any questions about the property and Manuel Antonio area. She was able to get onsite cook for a couple of days and even had onsite massages. We enjoyed sitting around the pool and were able to see monkeys, birds and all sorts of wildlife. We really enjoyed our 5 day stay in Jungle Creek.

Plants, Birding and Wildlife
Dave P

Spent 10 nights with a group of Horticulture students from Maine. Paula was extremely helpful with providing places to visit, restaurant recommendations as well as helping to line up transportation shuttles. The villas were clean and well kept. The plants, birding and wildlife viewing off the patio was phenomenal. I would highly recommend Jungle Creek and hope to get down there with my family sometime.
