Our Mancos, Colorado vacation rental guest house has three bedroom, 2 1/2 bath , fully furnished holiday house rental with 4 beds plus pullout sofa. Very comfortable and children will feel right at home in this lovely vacation rental home. Handicap accessible with 3ft wide doors and bathroom grab bars. Aspen (1 bedrm 1 bath) rents for $180 AVAILABLE ONLY BY CALL TO INN.

Pinion (2 bedrm suite with 1 bath) rents for $250 .

Forest Edge (Aspen + Pinion) rents for $285/winter and $350/summer amd Christmas. Winter weekly rate $1600.

We do not provide breakfast, but this Mancos, Colorado guest house kitchen makes it convenient for guests to eat what they like best at the time they prefer. The well equipped kitchen (electric range/oven, microwave, coffee maker, full size refrigerator, pantry) invites you to provide healthy meals for your group at the time you want to eat. Enjoy breakfast in your PJs and bathrobe. We supply some dry goods (e.g. pancake mix, cereal, flour, sugar, spices, coffee/tea). Or take advantage of the really good Absolute Bakery or Zuma in Mancos - they do awesome breakfast and lunch all year.

Bring the whole family or your best friends and enjoy this beautiful vacation rental Forest Edge (Mancos, CO) in "western casual luxury" -- comfortable!  TV, DVD library, books, magazines and board games for entertainment -- although most guests prefer to watch the changing light on the LaPLata mountans! The Forest Edge guest house in Mancos is close to the main lodge, but "over the hill" for privacy. Hot tub and sauna are available at the main lodge. This home accommodation sleeps 8 easily.. The great room is kitchen, dining and living room. Start your vacaton any day of the week; stay any length of time.Rarely do you find this much versatility in a vacation rental.

Bedroom units at Forest Edge

Aspen ($180) has a King and day bed (sleeps 3) plus spacious private bath with large Mexican painted sink (shower only). The oversized shower has a bench and easy access doorway. The toilet has grab bars for added convenience .Available as the third bedroom of Forest Edge.
 For safety/privacy you have your own outside door.

Pinion ($250) is a two bedroom suite with a King in one room and a Queen in the other (sleeps 4). Each bedroom has an outside door. TV in the king bedroom. The shared bath (tub/shower) is between these rooms with a separate door from each bedroom. There are 2 Mexican style ceramic sinks and a tub/shower plus grab bars for the toilet. You'll love the feel of Santa Fe!

This cabin is so comfortable, you'll want to make this a destination instead of a brief stay! The living area has a comfortable Lazy-Boy sofa and rocking chair. Add to that the TV, and gas log fireplace and it's just as wonderful as home! It's easy to prepare meals for the whole family in this well equipped kitchen. All the pots/pans and dishes are already here for your convenience.

The dining room has great views of the La Plata Mountains above Durango, Colorado, with French doors leading to the deck and BBQ grill. Plan to watch a sunrise with early A.M. cup of coffee, or be amazed at the sunset colors on the La Plata after glow. The summertime awning provides shade from the morning sun, which is brilliant at 7000 ft. elevation.

The living room French doors are the main entry for Forest Edge, located on a deck separating the two units. Grab a chair. Put up your feet and unwind.

Forest Edge Best for You? ($350)

  • This house vacation rental is handicap accessible (some limits): all the living space is on one floor. There are ramps, grab bars, full size rooms and wide doors.
  • Each bedroom has an outside door.
  • Perfect for a larger family or group of friends. Multiple beds in Aspen make this a versatile cabin. There's a pull-out sofa in the living room, too.
  • Breakfast is not included, but the fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare your own breakfast.
  • Forest Edge can comfortably sleep 8 .  Consider our lodge & log cabin for over flow group..
  • Fido is welcome, too.

Policy

Room Reservation Policies:

  • Reservations -- ONLINE, phone or email with a one night deposit to guarantee reservation. Check or credit card okay. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
  • For smaller groups consider our B&B or log cabin.
  • We are a non-smoking facility, with smoking allowed only outdoors in designated areas.
  • Pet policy -- Call if you are traveling with a pet: one dog may come (Cabin or Guest House only) with prior OK from us. We also have some facilities for horses -- call for details. Ours are the only cats -- sorry. Some fees apply. (more on Pet Policy)
  • Check-out time is 11:00 am and check-in after 3:30 PM. If you are going to be later than 8 PM, we appreciate a call.

Policies regarding Change of Reservation:

  • 10 day notice required for modification or cancellation of lodge or log cabin reservations.
  • Two weeks notice required all year for rental of Forest Edge Guest House.
  • We prefer you call toll free to make changes. If you use email, don't assume it is received until you get a response.

Changes include: Cancellation or Change in arrival/departure date.

  • Unless appropriately rescheduled or cancelled within the time frames above, guests are responsible for the full reservation amount.
  • Sorry, we are not responsible for transportation glitches or the weather. If that is a concern in your travel plans, you may wish to consider some sort of travel insurance.

Change in the makeup of your party

  • If you arrive with extra people or pets not on the reservation, we may charge you significant additional fees, requiring you to take additional rooms (if available) to match our stated capacities, or immediate forfeiture of reservation without refund, at our discretion.

Please don’t put us or you in that position. We can usually work with changes - just let us know ahead of time.

No Minimum stay is required in summer. However for one night stay in guest house, a $35 cleaning fee applies for May - September rentals. A 2 night minimum is required for winter in either cabin. (One night OK in lodge.)

Payment is by cash and personal check (preferred). MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Visa also available.

Mancos is a good central hub for a variety of day trips to -- Moab, Chaco Canyon, Telluride, Pagosa Springs and the San Juan Scenic Byway.

the scenery is awesome -- and the archaeology incredible. Mancos & Durango are art towns. McPhee is second largest lake in Colorado.

Fly to Albuquerque, NM and drive 4 hours. Flying from Denver into Durango is expensive.

You need to have a car.

We moved from CA almost 2 decades ago in order to establish a Bed and Breakfast. The 2 cats, 1 dogs who share our 80+ acres think they own the place -- and they allow us to live here too. Visiting dogs and Horses with their owners are welcome, too.
