Mancos is a good central hub for a variety of day trips to -- Moab, Chaco Canyon, Telluride, Pagosa Springs and the San Juan Scenic Byway.
the scenery is awesome -- and the archaeology incredible. Mancos & Durango are art towns. McPhee is second largest lake in Colorado.

Fly to Albuquerque, NM and drive 4 hours. Flying from Denver into Durango is expensive.
