Smiddy Cottage, located in the peaceful village of Horncliffe near Berwick-upon-Tweed on the banks of the River Tweed, is the ideal place for a luxurious break. The former blacksmith's shop (Smiddy is colloquial Scottish for a blacksmith) has recently been converted into a 3 bedroom cottage which sleeps 6, but maintaining features such as the old forge in the lounge. It has recently been awarded 'Four Stars' from Northumbria Tourist Board. Conveniently located on the edge of the village, with views to the south over farmland to the Cheviot Hills. |
