Just right! Very comfy and affordable for our fishing trip. will stay here again when we return someday.
Upon arriving (great directions) we opened the door and just fell in love with the place. My wife saw the first bedroom and took to putting our luggage in the there. And decided that the master was ours, as there was a picture window to view outside. Plush beds! Bathroom updated with a great shower. Kitchen was perfect with coffee maker, full-size fridge, stove, etc. We used some of the amenities (condiments in the fridge) and we left some. Wasn't totally out of stuff like others we have used. The outside is wonderful with a creek that you actually can hear rushing through the property. A gazebo outside for smokers and just sitting. Only the powering up of the airplanes did we hear. A sweet and beautiful place. Thanks so much.
We stayed in this cottage for three nights and two days of fishing in Homer. The owners were easy to work with and their cottage was very comfortable after a long day on the water. It had everything we needed to cook our own meals, relax and enjoy our honeymoon. I have recommended this to friends and hope to return.
We stayed at Creekside Cottage for a week in late October. We found it to be comfortable, clean, well supplied and very welcoming. It provided us a convenient location close to downtown while visiting with family in the area. We appreciated the ease of making the reservation and payments and the call from the owners checking to see if we needed anything. We would certainly recommend Creekside Cottage as a place to relax and as a base for exploring Homer and the surrounding area.
The home is extremely clean and well maintained. The patio is wonderful and on a nice day you could sit out there all day and enjoy the view. The location is great -- you can walk easily walk to restaurants and the Pratt Museum. My son was thrilled because there is a great playground about two blocks away. The place comes stocked with everything you need, and we felt at home. I was so impressed because the owners called the first night to check on our stay -- they are so willing to please. Highly recommended!!!
My sister, two young nephews and I stayed here in June. I picked it because it was one of the more reasonably priced places that could accommodate all of us and was better than a hotel room to help my sister deal with the needs of a toddler. It is an older house that they have decorated and remodeled nicely. It was clean and offered everything we could have needed; the washer and dryer was especially helpful due to the ability of my nephews to get wet and dirty! The raised deck outside was large and great for eating and viewing the little creek. There is a playground a 5 minute walk up the road that was good for entertaining the kids (take a right out of the driveway, walk up the road and take the first right). There is a comfortable queen size bed in each bedroom and my sister managed to sleep easily with both my nephews in her room. The neighborhood was quiet and the place is surrounded by vegetation. It is only a few minutes drive from Two Sisters bakery which has some of the best baked goods in the state (I live in Alaska and have tried quite a few). The drive to the spit and the rest of town is short and if you had to walk you can get to food or one of the beaches within 10-20 minutes; the spit would take you longer, though. I would definitely recommend this place and will call them again if I need a two bedroom in Homer.
I visited (for my second time in Homer; 6/22-6/29) and decided I wanted to try a vacation rental in lieu of my friend couch. Let me tell you, this place is awesome! It's definitely well worth trying. I've even told all of my local friends that this place is where to stay for extended periods. There's EVERYTHING you need inside washer/dryer, full kitchen... 2 REAL bedrooms... Highly recommended and will definitely stay again. Owners are VERY easy to work with. Many many thanks!!!
