Superb oceanfront second row home located in a great setting. Oceanside deck spans entire length of the house, is large enough to accommodate all the guests, and offers spectacular views.
Beach access is just out your front door with a sandy beach 24x7. The home is just 150 yards from the beach club. It is just a two minute walk to the new Food Court and Ocean View Sports Bar, as well as the Sand Bar and the swimming pools.
Three bicycles are included with the rental.
Newly renovated and fully appointed, our home was built to foster family reunions, accommodate multiple families or golf groups while preserving privacy.
Accommodations: 4 large bedrooms. Three King beds and 3 bathrooms upstairs. Downstairs, there is a kid's room with 2 sets of bunk beds and a 1/2 bath.
The downstairs also has a separate den with a Pool/Air Hockey table, comfortable seating area with a sleeper sofa, and a TV with a VCR/DVD player. There is also a table for playing games and there are a variety of games, puzzles, and books for guests use.
Guests enjoy sitting on the deck at sunrise, watching dolphins at play in the morning, and keeping an eye on family members on the beach. There is a gas grill and dining table on the deck. In the evenings, the deck is perfect for stargazing and enjoying the sounds of the ocean.
Fripp Island is 3 1/2 miles long; paved bicycle, skating or jogging trails traverse the island. Wildlife is abundant. Deer, raccoons, herons, egrets, ospreys, and alligators are common sights. Loggerhead turtles lay many nests on Fripp Island each year. Nature centers on Fripp and nearby Hunting Island provide hours of enjoyable activities on the beaches, in the forests or marshes. Once you arrive, park the car and rent a golf cart for island transportation.
The island has a lovely tennis facility located inland directly behind the house - only about a four minute walk. The Racquet Club offers 'Stroke of the Day' and 'Daily Drills' clinics each day as well as children's clinics and private or semi-private instruction.
There are 2 golf courses located on Fripp. Ocean Creek Golf Course designed by 1997 PGA Champion Davis Love, III (par 71, 6629 yard) and has won design honors from Golf Magazine and The Golfer. Ocean Point Golf Links designed by George W.Cobb (par 71, 6556 yard) is a links-style course where the land meets the sea.
Camp Fripp provides supervised fun for kids and teens with different activites each day as well as some evening activities, allowing parents some quiet time. There are also various boat tours available through Island Adventures.

We were hesitant to book since there were not a lot of reviews for this property, but we are SOOOO glad that we did. The house is in the BEST location. It is right by the adult pool, tennis courts, and the food court. It is STEPS from the beach access and has a beach view from the HUGE balcony. We went with 2 families and had a total of 5 kids. The downstairs space is perfect for the kids were they had their own room that was away from the rest of the house, so after the little ones were sleeping, they were not bothered by the adults. The 3 rooms upstairs with king beds was ideal for us. The house was clean, well maintained and fully equipped with all necessities. The owner was very easy to work with and answered all of our questions. This was our first visit to Fripp and we fell in love. We will return and would rent this house again for SURE! LOVED IT
Great location, easy access to beach. Me and my wife had a great time. Had a lot of space for big families and a good view of the beach from the balcony. Located on the center of the island next to the beach club. Best beach location on Fripp.
This house is a great deal in that it has beautiful ocean views, is steps to the beach, is closer to the beach than many beachfront homes and all without the typical oceanfront price tag! It is already beautifully and comfortably furnished and decorated, and I understand the owner is continuing the recent re-painting project in the downstairs. Don't overlook going in the off-peak months, as I have spent wonderful (and warm!) times there even in January- it's truly a year-around destination.
