First floor unit has 9' ceilings, exposed wood beams, full kitchen and a covered veranda with a spectacular view of the ocean, beach, pool and bar! We have four star resort towels, linens, quiet AC and mattresses that guests rave about! It is only a ten minute walk to downtown! Relax in the pool or have some cocktails at the bar. Most resorts need a golf cart to get around; optional here! Ocean view, beach front & walk downtown "location, location, location" this is The Palapa House!
The space
This large 650 square foot apartment has modern design with concrete counter tops, full kitchen, custom furniture, 9 foot ceilings with exposed beam, local Belize art work mixed with beach decor and the best hide a bed available with a real 8.5 inch mattress! Large bedroom with king size bed, new walk in shower and vanity adds to this spacious design. North American four star quality resort linens, towels and most importantly the mattress. Everyone raves about how comfortable the king size bed and this mattress goes in four and five star resorts in North America.
This unit is on the first floor and has quiet central air conditioning units in lieu of noisy mini-splits or hotel AC units. Quiet comfort on the beach is our motto at The Palapa House! Resorts require quiet AC units and this mini resort meets the criteria of a North American four or five star resort to create a quiet comfortable relaxing oasis before and after a great day on Ambergris Caye. There is nothing like this level of quality furnishings in San Pedro for this price!
Relax in the small resort style pool or hang out at the palapa bar and enjoy the ocean view with a cup of coffee in the morning and cocktail at night.

Guests have full access to the pool, bar, beach and of course the Caribbean Ocean.
Interaction with guests
Shane will meet you and can answer any questions that you may have. He has suggestions on his favorite restaurants, tours and activities that he can book for you as well. We also provide a long list of great restaurants, bars, activities, etc. There is plenty to do so just pick something and have an amazing day and night on the island.
Other things to note
Do not miss the sunrise! Chuck and Robbie's Dive Shop is right out the front door providing great snorkeling, diving, paddle boards, fishing trips and more. You have to see the reef off of Ambergris Caye since it is one of the prettiest reefs in the world and second only to The Great Barrier Reef in Australia for overall length. To watch the sunset we recommend driving to "Crocs" a fun bar for a cocktail, the Truck stop or taking a sunset cruise with our friends Junior and James. They are an entertaining duo with great rum drinks and of course Belikin beer. They will pick you up at a dock near The Palapa House. Unit 1 in The Palapa House was excellent! It was spacious and clean and had everything we needed for the 6 nights we were there. The location is perfect and we walked everywhere. We enjoyed the direct ocean view from inside the unit and from the pool. The covered bar area was great as well and we enjoyed dinner and drinks out there. We had a great time in San Pedro!
