Third floor Penthouse suite with 14' ceilings, exposed beams, modern kitchen and stunning views of the ocean, beach, pool and sunrise. We have four star resort towels, linens, quiet AC and mattresses that guests rave about! It is a 2 minute ten minute walk to restaurants and 10 to downtown! Relax in the pool or have some cocktails at the bar. Most resorts need a golf cart; optional here! Ocean view, beach front & walk to downtown "location, location, location" this is The Palapa House!
The space
Modern design with 14 foot ceilings, exposed wood beams, concrete counter tops, full custom kitchen with dishwasher, custom furniture, trendy barn door for bathroom and closet, local Belize art work mixed with beach decor and the best hide a bed available with an 8.5 inch actual queen mattress! Four star resort linens, towels and most importantly the mattress. Everyone raves about how comfortable the bed is! The hide a bed is amazingly comfortable as well.
This unit is on the third floor (for the best views of the ocean) and has quiet central air conditioning units in lieu of noisy mini-splits or hotel AC units. Quiet comfort on the beach is our motto at The Palapa House! Resorts require quiet AC units and this mini resort meets the criteria of a North American four or five star resort to create a quiet comfortable relaxing oasis before and after a great day on Ambergris Caye.
Relax in the small resort style pool, hang out at our palapa bar and enjoy the ocean view with a cup of coffee in the morning and cocktail at night under your veranda with a cool palapa roof.

Guests have full access to the pool, bar and of course the Caribbean Ocean.
Interaction with guests
Shane will meet you and can answer any questions that you may have. He has suggestions on our favorite restaurants, tours and activities that he can book for you as well. Once you book with the Palapa House we will provide you a long list of great restaurants, bars, things to do and much more. Our guests have commented many times to make sure to try our favorite places!
Other things to note
Do not miss the sunrise! To watch the sunset we recommend taking a sunset cruise with our friends Junior and James. They are an entertaining duo with great rum drinks and of course Belikin beer. They will pick you up at the dock or you can drive to “Crocs” and have a cocktail watching the sunset. |

We really enjoyed our stay at Palapa House. The place was very clean and much nicer than anything we have stayed in at a similar price point on the island. We had an issue with the A/C our second night, but Shane had someone there in an hour and a half to fix it. It worked great after that. It was really nice to have such quick responses and attention to our needs. Nothing is ever perfect, but it was nice to have the issue fixed quickly. That shows how much they care about their clients enjoying their stay. We absolutely would stay here again.
We spent a few days out of our 2 week vacation in Belize, and Ron's place was very conveniently located and made it very easy to get around on foot without having to rent a golf cart. Nice clean rooms, and Shane was very kind and helpful! Belize is an amazing experience!
An excellent place to stay.
This is a great little place to stay. The condo is very clean, ocean front and right in the middle of everything. I would recommend anyone to stay there! Also Ron is a great person to deal with. Very helpful, full of wonderful information. If I had to say something that I personally wasn’t crazy about is that everyone shares a balcony. In a way it allows you to meet new people but if you like to have your morning coffee in peace and quiet or just some privacy it’s hard to get here.
