I was born in Bocas, my mother was born in the island of providence, Colombia and my dad was born in the island of Bocas, all in the caribbean sea so i am trully islander. I am a Certified Public Accountant, born in Bocas del Toro, love to read fiction and historical books.
Just returned from Bocas and sad to say our stay was not long enough. The condo is clean, comfortable and cozy. The communication was great. Thank you Temi and Natasha for that. Great location, just cheap taxi ride to town. Just a heads up, if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. The roosters are up very early. Can't wait to return!!
My wife and I with another couple went to Temis condo in the later part of January for 4 nights. When we got there the AC in one of the bedrooms wasn't working. We mentioned this to Temis manager - Natasha and she was quick to get someone in to fix it that same day! The next day, the bed frame broke. Again, that same day, Natasha had it fixed. We were impressed on how quickly she responded to any and all issues that came up! The suite was comfortable, on th top floor, has an elevator and was very peaceful and relaxing. Suite comes with all things you would expect in a hotel. Coffee maker, a filtered water canister, dishes, towels, etc. Bathrooms are very nice. Very quite, no issues with any neighbours. Love the home away from home feel this condo has as its very private. Location is great. Away from super busy downtown Bocas. Taxis are $1/person or even cheaper if you travel with 4. Decent cheap local restaurants just a 5 min. walk away and more "western" style restaurant a 5min taxi ride away. Only issues are low water pressure, no English tv cable and would be nice to have an extra couch. Nothing major as overall our experience was wonderful in general. Would definaltey recommend it to anyone going to Amazingly beautiful Bocas!
Travelling to a foreign country with our two highschool children and one in college was made easy with the help of Temi, the owner. The property was everything we needed it to be, and we really didn't stay there but to sleep as we were out and about taking in all that Bocas has to offer. Temi was extremely helpful, arranging airport pickup at Tocumen and transport to Albrook for our hopper flight, and from Bocas to the apartment. He also helped us with day tour suggestions and prices ahead of time and lined us up with Barnaby of Gambit Tours while on the island. We really felt like they rolled out the red carpet and received special treatment because we stayed here. Back in Panama city Temi lined us up with his nephew Roberto of Totuga Tours Panama, who is a tour guide. He was very knowledgeable of the area and took us to many of the city attractions. The assistance alone was well worth the stay here as we felt we really got a lot more out of this vacation. With regards to the apartment, Natasha was quick to address any issues and was very attentive to our needs. This property is out of the main town, but there is a grocery store within walking distance and several restaurants nearby. We had heard that staying downtown can be noisy. A taxi ride to town is $1 pp. The internet worked great. There is a washer and dryer on the property on the 1st floor. The balcony was nice and you had a view of the water. We never went to the beach opposite of the apartment because there were so many other beaches and attractions to see. We felt very safe while staying here.
A home away from home ... An exclusive clean, peaceful atmosphere and close to the locals every day amazing life. A paradise. Sorrounded by nature and ocean this magical place is suited for everyone. Located on the top floor (4) over looking the ocean. Property equiped with elevator, pool and the beach across the street. Definitely coming back. ????
Très bel appartement, spacieux, propre! terrasse sympa avec vu sur la mer! Il est juste en face de la plage et à 3 min en voiture du centre! Malheureusement la météo n'était pas avec nous durant notre séjour donc nous n"avons pas vraiment pu profiter de la piscine... Je recommande!
We enjoyed our stay in Bocas. The place was clean and everything we needed was provided. The air conditioning worked great for any time that we needed it. The balcony was good early in the morning to sit and watch the birds and have a cup of coffee. The internet was weak, but they were in the process of fixing that. Anytime we needed anything it was only a phone call away, and she responded very promptly. We did enjoy our stay.
This condo is clean and well maintained. The property management made sure everything was working for us when we arrived. Our deposit was returned upon check out. Be aware that there is no elevator and this place is on the third flood. The condo has a decent view of the water. There are local style houses all around the complex that you overlook. The landscaping isn't really kept up and the road leading to the complex is dirt. There is a beach across the street that is pretty but the water looks murky and someone said the big hotel down the beach dumps their sewage in the water. ( I have no way of knowing if that is true or not.) It is a long walk or a short taxi ride to town for food. I didn't care for Bocas town itself and found it to be trashy. Starfish beach was the only good beach we found for swimming and that is a land taxi and water taxi away. All the other beaches were very rough when we were there. There was good snorkeling of soft coral at coral canyon. Overall, IF you decide to go to Bocas, this was a good option for the price for a family.
After trying to decide where to go on a vacation we decided to go to Bocas del Toro. To our surprise the aoartment we rented was very nicely decorated and right across the street from the beach. It's like traveling to your own vacation home. I recomend this apartment for quality, price and location. Can't wait to ho back.
Very nice, spacy and clean appartment with A/C, with view on the sea. I enjoyed the sunrise view from the balcony every morning. The appartment is very quiet and I used the swimming pool every day. I made my way around Bocas by bike which was no problem. To cycle to Bocas town takes about 15 minutes. People in Bocas and neighbours are very friendly and helpful with directions. I will definitely come and stay again at this wonderful appartment - next time with my whole family :)
