If you love historic homes and quaint little towns you will love visiting Wendell. This home has everything you need to make your stay perfect. And they greeted us with water and snacks, little soaps, and coupons for the General Store. We did walk over and try the ice cream and the General Store and all of downtown Wendell was delightful. Who knew that they would have a wine store, a distillery, a general store, and antique shops all in a few blocks of downtown. We will be back in the Spring and hope to be able to visit again. Thanks for the lovely stay.
This is a great town, it is small but has a lot going on. Plenty of restaurants and shops! My daughter's favorite thing was the karaoke machine, they had a blast. We liked the electric fireplace, that was a big hit! We will visit again soon.
We love historic houses, but this one was a real surprise. Outside it looks like a typical 1915 bungalow, with it's wide porch that wraps around the side. But the inside of this home has been renovated to the max. My son loved the "stones" in the floor of the shower. Our weather was so nice, we really enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the cars go by. We even got some ice cream at the General Store downtown, since it was in the mid 70s this week. When we visit again in the Spring we will be sure to book this home again, it had everything we needed and then some.
