Description

Awarakau Farmstays is located on the South Coast of the rugged Chatham Islands. Set only metres from the sea it commands picture perfect views and tranquil surroundings. Awarakau is a 1300 acre sheep and cattle farm situated approximately 8km from the main centre, Waitangi, where you will find Hotel Chatham, the ANZ Bank, Waitangi Cafe, Petre Bay Takeaways, the local Police Station and Council offices. There are also 2 grocery shops, 2 fuel stations, a bottle store and other amenities.

Awarakau Farmstays is a recently remodelled and tastefully decorated facility which offers a choice of Queen or Twin rooms, all with their own ensuite bathrooms. We cater for couples, families or groups of up to 8 people. Accommodations also include complimentary continental breakfasts, access to a comfortable guest lounge with Sky T.V and tea and coffee making facilities. Packed lunches can be provided in addition to a cooked meal in the evening at your request.

Fishing is available right at your door and fishing gear can be provided on request. Alternatively, fishing or diving trips further afield can also be arranged. Vehicles are available for your use- please enquire. Tariffs are available on request.
