Summer in Goa is from mid-March until the end of June. The monsoon period is June-September when approximately 250cm to 300cm of rain can be expected. Winters are from late November to mid February with maximum temperatures of around 26 degrees. The Arabian Sea stays warm all year round, ranging from 25-35 degrees. Their are six important rivers in Goa; the Mandovi, Zuari, Sal Terekhol, Chapora and Talpona.
Goa is located on the West Coast of India. Varca is situated in South Goa, about 35 minutes drive from Dabolim Airport and a 10 minute drive from Margao, which is the second largest city in Goa and a centre for travel and commerce. In the village of Varca there are various supermarkets, banks (ATM machines) chemists etc.
Varca beach is a very tranquil, calm and peaceful place, far removed from the shores of North Goa and is located next to the popular tourist resort of Benaulim. For those who prefer not to cook, this charming beach resort has numerous beach shacks offering a variety of Goan dishes and seafood at reasonable prices as well some excellent restaurants. For the more daring there are various types of watersports along Varca Beach including paragliding, jet-skiing, and boat trips to see the dolphins close up in their natural habitat. Dolphin-watching is extremely popular and a great way to experience them is on an early-morning cruise along the River Sal. Varca is also home to some large four and five star hotels, which sit behind the beach amidst beautiful gardens and attractive surroundings.

Fly to Dabolim Airport, Goa - Varca is just 30 km from the airport and should only take about 35 minutes in a taxi. Charter flights fly direct to Dabolim Airport, Goa from Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham. Scheduled flights go from London Heathrow via Mumbai. ://www.airflights.co.uk Transfers to and from Dabolim Airport can be arranged if required at no extra cost. Local taxis (yellow and black) are available at Dabolim Airport - fares should be no more than 700 rupees.
Scooters, bicycles and car hire can be arranged if required, however there is a regular and very cheap bus service. If you want to explore further afield the train is an excellent method of transport.
