Our family (2 adults + 2 children) stayed in the unit # 102 Hummingbird from Aug 12, 2012 to Aug 19, 2012. This was our first time staying here and we enjoyed our stay very much. The room and property were exceptionally clean. The resort team was extremely nice and helpful. We are planning on coming back soon and recommending this resort to all our friends and family.
My husband and I and our dog stayed in the Starfish unit with our own private pool. We'd wake up in the morning, go for a swim and then walk across the street to the beach. Siesta Key has THE BEST BEACH in the world - it actually is rated as the #1 white sand (it's 99% quartz crystal). We took our dog to Venice Dog Beach one day and she loved it! We ate brunch outside with our dog at the Village Cafe, and Dinner at Old Salty Dog. I had the best southwest breakfast I've had this side of the Mississippi and my husband had one of the best steaks he's eaten at a restaurant (as he usually cooks his own steak) and our dog was given a fresh private water bowls at both places! When our dog was tired from vacation, we ate dinner without her at Turtles - exquisite food overlooking the intercoastal water. Afternoons and evenings in the heated private pool were awesome, as well as some middle-of-the-night swims :). I highly recommend The Sea Spray Resort - it was a wonderful get-a-way!
My husband, our two dogs and I just returned from a week at the Sea Spray; I recommend it highly! It is even better than pictured; all the furnishings are brand new, there are flat screen televisions in the living room and each bedroom, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, there are plenty of towels, and the grounds and pool are well maintained. The owner and the manager are very helpful and accommodating. You are steps away from one of the best beaches in the U.S. Siesta Key and the Sea Spray are the perfect combo for a relaxing vacation. We plan to return within the year and stay longer this time.
We've recently returned from a wonderful 3 weeks at Sea Spray Resort! We did not stay in the above mentioned unit but rather in the 1 bedroom/1 bath unit with a private pool. All the units are excellent accommodations, beautifully decorated and supplied with all the amenities. The location provides easy access to the beach as well as an easy walk to Siesta Village. The grounds are well kept along with an in-ground pool. We certainly plan on returning next year for a longer stay.
Stayed here for one week with the family. Great stay! Very comfortable and walking distance to the beach. Will definitely come back again!
