The Long Beach Peninsula is a historic fishing and clamming location, and has exceptional dining, variety shops, colorful scenery, and miles of beach. Enjoy a cup of fresh roasted coffee before your horse ride on the beach or carriage ride through town. Take a short walk to the dunes, or stroll the stretches of beach and build a sand castle, fly a kite, or watch the surf roll in. Clamming days are a favorite. Visit a historic lighthouse or find our Cranberry Museum. Just to the South, in Ilwaco, you can charter deep sea or fresh water fishing. Walk the boardwalk during Saturday Market and find a bowl of tasty chowder or seek out one of the many fine art galleries. Stop for a plate of oysters at one of the many boardwalk restaurants or buy your own fresh "catch of the day" at seafood markets. Honeysuckle Cottage is convenient to all. |
