We enjoyed our stay during the month of July. We had a big group and Lou was very welcoming. We came to the area for a trip to Silverwood which is about an hour away from this place. The place is beautiful inside and has amazing views of the area including a lake. We were very comfortable there and enjoyed our stay. The only negative feedback is just how steep the driveway is even for regular vehicles to come up too. Luckily there is an area below where you can park and just walk up if your vehicle won't go up. Thank you Lou for your hospitality and your home.
So I read the reviews about the driveway before going, and yes it is a bit hairy. However the owner of the property was very prompt with calling a snowplow and had gravel ready to help get to the house. Most properties there all have this same issue. The house was truly wonderful and the layout of the living area was perfect for a large group. I will definitely be staying here again if we plan another trip next year.
We loved the place!
The unit was clean and all items we needed where there. The ski in & out worked good. The ski in requires to stay high on the last run and to the edge of the resort, but we got to the front door with no problem.
We just got back from staying at The Lodge for the weekend. It was great! The house is beautiful, clean, roomy, and the view is spectacular. You can see the lifts from one side of the house and see the lake from the front side. Our group opted to drive to the ski village for our daytime adventure rather than ski in/ ski out, and it literally only took us about 2 short minutes to get to the village. After skiing and snowboarding we all relaxed in the large hot tub overlooking the valley and the lake. We met the owner when we checked in, and she was so friendly and helpful....giving us trail directions if we did want to ski in-ski out. We all had a great time over the weekend, and a huge part of it was being able to stay in such a beautiful home. (It seems roomier in real life than what the pictures can show.) We would definitely stay there again.
