The Crain guest house is perfect for the rural Idaho experience and a quiet, comfortable place to chill. We are located in the country 2.5 miles east of Hwy 20 and 10 minutes North of Rexburg. The guest house has views of the Tetons, swimming pond, farm land, cows, hawks, and bald eagles. The property has plenty of space for parking trailers and there is plenty of room for your horses in our pasture. You can ride your snowmobiles and ATVs in the field.

The guest house is the perfect home base for all of your southeast Idaho adventures. We are located 3 miles from Monkey Rock waterfall; 5 miles from awesome fishing and bridge jumping; 10 miles from Rexburg; 40 minutes from Island Park; 45 minutes from Idaho Falls; 70 minutes from West Yellowstone; and 75 minutes from Jackson Hole. The world famous St. Anthony Sand Dunes are only 10 minutes away!

Do not forget your water toys and swimsuit in the summer - we have a big swimming hole with an island, rope swing, paddle boat, and sandy beach to relax on. The Ashton Reservoir is only 15 minutes away and is a quiet, beautiful waterway for boating, floating, or fishing. In the winter, our swimming hole is empty and great for snow sledding. For bigger sledding thrills, the St. Anthony Sand Dunes are only a few minutes away.

After your long day, relax on the couch or recliner and read a book or watch a movie. The kitchen is stocked so you can enjoy cooking meals at home. Or, you may eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant, El Jaliciense, in St. Anthony. Rexburg is a short drive away for dinner and a movie. Retire to bed in the quiet countryside and drift to sleep on memory foam while snuggled in a fluffy comforter.

P.S. We strive to make the guest house a low allergen environment. No smoking or indoor pets are allowed; no air fresheners or candles. All linens are 100% cotton and washed in scent-free detergent; all-natural cleaning products are used to clean the house.

Please let us know which option you'd like for your reservation. For reservations greater than two weeks, damage protection ($39-$49) from homeaway.com is required. If you purchase damage protection thru homeaway.com for this property, the refundable deposit is not required. The cleaning fee for stays longer than 7 days is $50.

About the Owner

Hi, We are the Crain family. There is five of us and we enjoy the outdoors, riding big-toys with motors, reading books, fishing, swimming, cooking, and hanging out with family and friends. Marvin grew up in St. Anthony, ID and Misty is an implant from Southern California. For the past 18 years, friends and family have come stay with us to enjoy rural Idaho and it's many activities and adventures. Several times throughout the year we have family and friends that come from afar to visit us and enjoy Idaho. We decided to complete our shop and apartment project so we can offer the Crain Guest House to family, friends, and new acquaintances so they can have a quiet and private place to enjoy rural Idaho. We decided to make this rental a small family business to help our children get ready for their future independence (and develop a better work ethic). We are happy to share our guest house with you. Marvin or Misty Crain purchased this Apartment in 2014
