I am a US citizen but I spend most of my time here in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. My first trip here was in 1984, but I did not return again until 2004. In 2005 I decided to buy my first property here. Although I still maintain a lake house in Massachusetts, an apartment in Manhattan and an apartment in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this is my home. In addition to the local Mexicans and Mayans, you will meet people from all over the world here. We have had guests from countries like Germany, Holland, South Africa, Israel and others, as well as Mexico, the US and Canada. Everybody who comes here falls in love with the place, and I am sure you will too. I fell in love with this place because of the spectacular ocean right in my back yard. The powder soft sand between my toes and the multi-colored ocean waters is enough to make you not want to go home!.
