This lovingly restored, 18th century Dutch “landhuis” is decorated with a charming mix of antique Caribbean furniture with Asian and European influences. The Bachelorette

When the producers of ABC’s 'The Bachelorette' selected the Dutch-influenced island of Curaçao as a destination for Season Eight they looked for a luxurious, romantic home where Emily Maynard and her daughter Ricki could stay and enjoy the sun, sea and a bit of island history, they chose Sirena Bay Estate.

Accommodations on the estate

Sirena Bay is a historic, seaside estate with 4 accommodations and a private pool and beach. For your privacy we rent the entire property as one for your exclusive use.

The Main House has three guest suites. The Royal Suite (ground floor) and Pineapple Suite (first floor) have king beds and the Sirena Suite (ground floor) has two extra long twin beds that can be bridged into a king if needed. Each Suite has its own bath with tub, shower and sinks. There is a living area, a TV room and a large, fully equiped kitchen. You can enjoy your breakfast or diner at the long table on the porch, overlooking the pool and sea.

The upper Sea View Apartment (first floor) has two bedrooms and a loft sleeping area, living room, one bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. The two bedrooms have a queen bed and there is also a queen bed in the loft area. The apartment features a wrap around porch that overlooks the Caribbean Sea. The apartment sits only 30' from the sea and is adjacent to the pool and beach. It is rented separately only in conjunction with your rental of the main house to insure the privacy of your stay.

The downstairs Sea View Apartment (ground floor) has two bedrooms, a living room, one bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The two bedrooms have a queen bed. The apartment features a porch that overlooks the Caribbean Sea. The apartment sits only 30' from the sea and is adjacent to the pool and beach. It is rented separately only in conjunction with your rental of the main house to insure the privacy of your stay.

Kas Chikitu litterally means small house. The smallest accommodation at Sirena Bay is suited for 2 persons + 2 kids. Besides a double size bed, a small loft bed for kids, bathroom and fridge you have a nice private patio to enjoy your coffee in the morning. Kas Chikitu is situated next to the main house, at the pool side, with an amazing view at the sea.

Restaurants & food

In the direct surrounding of the estate you can find several very good restaurants within walking distance, more than 5 good restaurants even lie within 50 meters of the property! If you want to have dinner at the house, you can use our gas BBQ, the large stove and oven and all of the kitchen supplies you find in the kitchen of the main house. Off course you can also use the kitchens in both apartments for preparing a meal or breakfast. We can also offer you a home cooked meal with local products, or even a private chef who can prepare a complete menu for your group with prior notice.

There are several good supermarkets on the island. They have a wide range of products and also sell gluten free products.

Housekeeping

Your rooms will be cleaned 6 days a week, on Sunday there will be no housekeeping. The bed sheets will be changed every 3 days, fresh towels every day if you wish. Please keep in mind that this service will not be available on Sundays.

We will also provide beach towels for our guests.

We have a private pool and beach. There is a lot to see under water in front of the estate, like a beautiful coral reef. Next to our estate (100 meters) lies hotel Avila Beach. Here you have a fantastic bay with sunbeds, a cocktail bar and restaurants. Curacao is famous for all her white sandy bays and beaches, there are so many places to enjoy a beautiful day at the beach!

Since 2017 we have new wifi at the main house, poolside and both apartments.

The price includes use of water, gas, wifi, housekeeping, telephone for local phonecalls, linnen, towels, sunbeds, beachtowels.

Electricity is included up to 10KW / person / day. With normal use of electricity this will never be exceeded.

We had a great time at this property 3 families and plenty of room for everyone. The staff was very accommodating especially Ottis. The house was cleaned every day except for Sunday which was understandable. Tons of restaurants KOME was the best We had a great time and would rent this property again in a second.
