Lyndalan is a romantic stone built Galloway cottage set in the heart of the machars peninsula.In years gone by Lyndalan was a small holding it was also used as a workbase for cobblers and tailors.Children from the former Longcastle school would also come and get a bowl of soup or jammy peice for a penny. The cottage has been refurbished to a high standard, yet has retained much of its old charm and character with exposed beams,original fire place with woodburning stove and traditional farmhouse kitchen with natural stone wall.The kitchen is equiped with a larder fridge, electric rangemaster cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, bread maker, toasted sandwich maker, toaster and a large upright freezer. The cottage offers two double bedrooms upstairs, the main one with en-suite toilet and shower. The downstairs bathroom has a bath and electric shower.The spacious but cosy living room has a TV,VCR,DVD and CD player. The beautiful sunroom has comfortable seating and looks out on the enclosed country cottage garden with furniture and barbecue. There are electric storage heaters throughout the house as well as the wood burning stove. There are no hidden charges for fuel, towels or linen everything is included in the price. There is a large drive way to the rear of the cottage for off road parking. |
