This charming 4 bedroom, 2-bath(plus outside shower) ranch house (with a garden apartment entrance) is located on West Side Drive on 1.6 acres of beautiful cleared fields adjacent to Rustic Rides horse farm.There is a small pond on the property and many ponds and waterways throughout the island. We have lots of Adirondack chairs and a gas grill available for a large backyard and a large deck entertaining Enjoy the pastoral view along with visits from ducks, geese, ostriches and other wildlife. The roosters will be sure to wake you for breakfast.We are providing ear plugs for the 2019 season. We have stocked the library with fishing, cooking, art books and a few great classic novels. Grab a good book or a show on a 29” flat screen TV via Direct,TV or DVD.
We are within walking distance to Green way Trials, Cooneymus Beach, and adjacent to Rustic Rides horseback riding farm. Walk out the front door and book a ride on a horse right next door to Dories cove and ride along the beach, an island favorite attraction, and for as the best place to see the sunset on the island. Tell Tim at rustic rides you are staying with us and you get a $5.00 per person discount
We are 3.3miles, a 20 minute car ride from the ferry.

You will find many properties do not include linen. We have a full compliment of linens and towels excepting beach towels.

Please be advised that the $175 housekeeping fee applies for weekly visits. If your stay is two weeks house keeping will come on the Sunday in between weeks. $100.00 fee applies for short stays of three days or less.You will be required to send us a $500.00 damages deposit check in advance. Behj and Robert are the owners. Robert has been in the hospitlity business for 25 years including famous hotels and venues such as the Waldorf=Astoria and Windows on the World. Robert is currently a hospitality consultant and Behj/Zahra works at New York Medical College Zhara Kashani/Robert Goode purchased this House in 2014
The house was awesome, a perfect layout, open space (great for kids) and well equipped for a long or short stay. Property was beautiful in a great location, kids loved being close to a farm and seeing animals every morning. Owners were very accommodating. Thank you!!!
Big rooms and nicely updated, this rental was ideal for the nine of us. The country farm setting and animals next door was different than other places closer to town.Nearer to the west side beaches for quick shore access we had a picnic on the rocks and hiked around. Positives included modern appliances,(2 large refridgeraters) large kitchen table, large tiled bathrooms(2),hot/cold outdoor shower , new foot rinse faucets outside, large yard, ripe blackberries, deck tables and chairs,and separete entrance downstairs.Having clean linens on the beds was nice,too. We went during a very humid summer and the garden apt dehumidifier could not keep up creating some water on the floor where condensation collected. A rack for hanging clothes downstairs would've been appreciated! The roosters took a night or two to get used to but eventualy became part of the ambiance. I have been going to BI for 39 years and have stayed at many rentals as the family has grown.This place is very reasonably priced for family fun with children without the crowds of August!

We had a wonderful time at the house. So well-equipped. Our boys 5, 4, 3 and 9 months loved running around in the yard, seeing the horses, wild turkeys, peacock. There are roosters next door at the horse farm and they do start crowing at 2 am. I will say that out of 6 adults only 2 of us were bothered by them. Block island such a beautiful place. This is the first time we’ve gone and spent a week. We were on the island for a triathlon and the bikes went right past the house. It was very emotional. We stood and shouted encouraging words. I do wish it had AC. But then we are all spoiled. I would add a fire pit.
Lovely home with a country cottage flare offering many amenities; including fans, tv, games, outdoor grill, etc. Not too far from town; but still a short drive. Close to local trails if interested in hiking, running, or walking. Located next to a horse farm, with chickens and roosters. Enjoyed our stay with family and friends who came to visit from the mainland for the day or spent the night. Would definitely recommend, though next time we may consider a home closer to the beach, with an ocean view, or walking distance to town.
