Maplestone is less than two hours from New York City and close to Mohonk Mountain, SUNY New Paltz, the Shawangunk Ridge (the Gunks), Lake Minnewaska, Vanderbilt Mansion and Roosevelt Estate in Hyde Park, the Ulster County Fair Grounds, and the picturesque Main Street of our hometown, Gardiner N.Y. Located at the gateway to the Catskill Mountains, the surrounding countryside features a wealth of activities including golf, antiquing, hiking, fishing, sky diving, world class rock climbing, biking, winery tours, and fine dining at the Culinary Institute of America as well as many local restaurants in Ulster County, Dutchess County, and Orange County.
