There are canoes available for your use. Located in famous '2 foot cove on Old Hickory Lake', you have an incredible view of the channel to watch the boats and barges travel up and down the river. Whether you rent a boat from a near by marina, bring your own boat or just enjoy the wildlife while relaxing, your stay will be unforgettable.

This is an amazing property. I live in Chicago but my mother lives in TN, wanted to give her a little change of scenery for Mother's Day. We couldn't have picked a better place to spend quality time with my mother and family. Has everything you could ask for in the kitchen and more. We had a great time and will book again.
Loved it! Enjoyed watching the boats, the tugboat pushing the barges, the beautiful sunsets and even watching the dog chase the squirrels . Had a blast fishing from the dock. Got to enjoy morning coffee on the porch with the beautiful view of the river. Close drive to Walmart, Krogers and not a far drive to downtown Nashville. For downtown take Lebanon Pike which is HWY 70, takes you straight in without dealing with the interstate.
We LOVED our vacation at Sandy's house. It was just right for us and our teenage daughter. I wish we could attach photos of the beautiful sunsets we enjoyed sitting on the porch swing. We stayed 5 nights and wished we would have stayed longer. It is a quick drive to downtown and other local attractions and sites. The kitchen is equipped with everything anyone could need (even a crock pot and milk shake blender). The house was very clean and comfortable. We were thrilled to find that everything looked exactly like the photographs on VRBO. Sandy was GREAT! Answered all our questions about various things including renting a pontoon. The house is located behind another building so at first, we didn't see it, but the other building didn't bother us because we didn't notice it while we were in the lake house. We enjoyed it so much, we are recommending it to other friends and family that we know visit Nashville frequently! When we mentioned to Sandy that we were spending the last few days with family near Franklin, he offered many suggestions for things to do and see there, too. GREAT GUY! We also recommend eating at the Nashville Jam Cafe (which is very close). It looks like a shack but has the most amazing food!!! We will stay here again!
Sandy's house is perfect for a lake getaway. The house is right on the water, with a dock and a sandbar directly out from the house. It has all the necessary amenities for cooking, grilling, sleeping, etc. The house is located in a neighborhood, but we had no issues with the neighbors as everyone keeps to themselves. Very comfortable, quiet and quaint!
My daughter and I spent 5 wonderful days at Sandy's lake home in May. The house is lovely and very clean. There is a covered porch with a fabulous view of the lake. The yard feels even more spacious with no fences between neighbors. There were many birds in the morning from cardinals to ducks. We drove into Nashville city several times, an easy jaunt on the highway. We made use of the offered kayaks, which Sandy brought down to the water's edge for us. A close place to eat with great food is Nashville Jam Cafe - awesome shrimp and grits. I can't say a thing about the TV as we never felt the need to stay inside! I would absolutely stay here again.
