The Cottage Nestled in our gardens, the Cottage provides privacy and seclusion in a magnificent setting. In the open-air sitting and dining area you can enjoy the greenery and flowers as you relax - as well as the many birds who share the garden with you.
Spacious and comfortable, the Cottage features an airy, open design. But there are also cozy nooks to curl up in.
The Cottage sleeps four on the upper level. One sleeping area has a single-size bed and the other two twin beds. Futon bed on the main floor will accommodate a fifth person.
The catwalk joining the sleeping areas enhances the cottages airy, outdoor feeling.
This is the perfect accommodation for a family. The river is just steps away and there's plenty of room for children to play. Use the picnic area and barbecue for outdoor meals.
Just steps from your door is a charming little river complete with a "paddling" pool for toddlers and a swimming hole for older children. We have tubes for extra fun in the water.
There's plenty of room for children to play and explore. And we have a crib for the little ones.

My husband is a New Zealander, an accomplished builder: indeed he built our properties and the cottages that you will be staying in. Very close to the airport and very nice river for our kids to swim. Sandra and Stephen were very welcoming and helpful hosts. It is self catering and they helped us get some food before we arrived. The cottage we stayed in was very nice. A very good place to start our adventure in Dominica!
The ambience of the property is overall relaxing. The owners Sandra and Stephen treated us like family; very welcoming. The property is remote but peaceful. Calming atmosphere. If you are looking for a quiet retreat away from the typical tourist scene this is the place to be. Private accommodations with the ability to prepare and eat what you want vs what's on the menu. The design of the living quarters is awesome, open concept and the river on the property is a bonus. The fact that it is close to the airport was perfect. I would return to Dominica just to go off the grid for a few days. Stay overall was worth every minute.
The accomodation is located very close to Douglas Charles airport and is convenient for late/ early flights. The hosts Stephen and Sandra are very welcoming and hospitable and go out of their way to help you including airport runs and takeaways. In addition the Wifi is quite good.
We stayed in Coffee River's smaller cottage, which is still very large with room for four. It has a full kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms upstairs in these funky lofts. The property is very close to Charles-Douglas airport, making it a great place to stay when you first arrive or before you leave, especially if you don't want to drive a long distance in the dark. If Coffee River is the first place you stay and you're arriving in the dark, make sure you get good directions (or maybe you'll be as lucky as us and have the owner meet you at the airport to guide you!). The owners are lovely and happy to help guests navigate the island.
It has taken me far too long to write this but staying with Sandra and Stephen was a night forever remembered. Their warmth and adventure was the perfect end to my trip around Dominica, I considered myself lucky finding the perfect cottage by the river, enjoying home cooked food and lovely conversation. Located a short drive from the airport but just far enough that you feel it is a retreat. I wish I could prove my gratitude to this special couple, anyone visiting the area should add this to their to-dos. Thank you again Sandra and Stephen
