The White Turtle is situated in Marigot Bay, the picturesque small inlet famously used as a filming location for the popular childrens film ‘Dr Doolittle’. The house is a 15 minute walk from the main Marigot marina and neighbouring La Bas beach, and only a 5 minute stroll down to the secluded cove of Trou Roland. |

Wow, what can you say. My husband and I were in the need of some desperate rest and relaxation. At the White Turtle we truly received what we were looking for. This home is so lovely and peaceful with all the modern comforts. We came from California so to spend time in such a lush environment was fantastic. Blacka and Sabina were a great addition to our stay. If you needed anything they were there, no problem. We highly recommend the White Turtle.
We had a wonderful week staying at the White Turtle and Marigot Bay is an excellent location to explore St. Lucia. The house was very comfortable for our group of four and it was well appointed. It was helpful to have air conditioning in the two bedrooms and we made good use of the pool to keep cool. We especially enjoyed the outdoor shower. The living room furniture is in need of an upgrade but it was still wonderful to sit and enjoy the amazing view. The wifi and tv services worked well. We were able to get to most of the restaurants in Marigot Bay and especially enjoyed taking the short boat ride over to Hassys and also recommend Masala Bay for Indian food. St. Lucia is one of the prettier islands and we are definitely looking forward to a return visit.
This is one of the most amazing trips my wife and I have ever been on. Dealing with the owner Daniel was very easy, along with Sabina who takes care of the property here. The White Turtle was very clean and the king sized beds are very comfortable. The kitchen includes everyrhing you need to make breakfast lunch or dinner. The pool was great and has full sun the entire day with outdoor speakers (huge plus). Marigot Bay is only a 15 min walk from the house (easier going down then coming up). I found the area to be very safe and the St Lucian people are very friendly. Sabina who takes care of the property was great as well, she helped us with a few things during our trip. Sabina also has recommendations on Taxi services which were great for us. Food prices are really no different than back home in Canada. I would recommend renting a vehicle (small size SUV) for the trip. We used it almost everyday to go to different places on the Island, pick up groceries etc. I fully recommend trying St Lucias Piton beer, it's amazing. I can tell you that the pictures of the White Turtle don't do it any justice. Waking up every morning and then watching the sunset was truly awesome and a big part of how amazing this trip was. I would recommend this property to any one coming for some rest and relaxation.
Dan has done a fantastic job designing and constructing the perfect romantic getaway cottage in the West Indies. The whole concept of the house makes you want to kick back and let go of your first world worries as you first enter. The pool was awesome and we used just about every outdoor seating area at some point in our vacation. Sabina who looks after the house was an absolute delight, charming and generous and made sure our stay was perfect. I highly recommend visiting the Pink Plantation for lunch. And with a car this is an ideal location to explore beautiful and super friendly St Lucia. Best holiday ever.
If, you need a tropical escape then the White Turtle is the place. The villa is centrally located between Rodney Bay and Soufriere. The Marigot Bay Marina has a good selection of restaurants. However, the villa's kitchen is fully equipped to keep you in to watch the sunrise and sunset at meal time.
