Our building, South Seas Northwest, is adjacent to Tigertail State Park, a picturesque thirty-one acre natural preserve and shorebird nesting area. During the nesting months of May to December the shoreline is also a protected sea turtle sanctuary, with over fifty sites last year.The park offers a picnic area with grills, picnic tables,
childrens playground, restroom facilities and a concession area with hamburgers, ice cream, beverages, etc. Also available are cabana and beach chair rentals, as well as kayak and paddleboats rentals for enjoying the lagoon.
Park rangers also provide free seasonal nature walks with information about the wildlife, plants and shells of the area. Collecting shells on Tigertail Beach is a must for any visitor---young or old! The shells and sand dollars are plentiful in the warm waters of the crescent shaped beach virtually at your door.
The Marco Island/Naples area has so much to offer --golf, fishing, boating, snorkeling, shopping, parasailing, airboat rides in the Everglades, Naples Zoo and sunset cruises.You can do as much or as little as you please. BUT--don't forget the sunscreen!!!! The burn comes fast on the Gulf of Mexico any time of year and you want to enjoy your fun in the sun.
