We stayed 5 days/4 nights in early December. Two adults and a 40lb dog, plenty of room and the place had everything we could possibly need: tidy bathroom with full-size tub/shower, separate bedroom with full-size bed/dresser, fully appointed kitchen (pots/pans/dishes, 4-burner gas stove, microwave, full-size fridge, etc.) washer/dryer, plenty of linens, comfy futon, TV, board games & books. Roy (the owner) even decorated for Christmas. He was in touch with us before, during and after our stay - always available to answer questions, provided tons of suggestions for places to eat/drink/visit. There must be 2 dozen great restaurants/bars within 10 minutes of the house. If you\'re a diver/snorkeler, you couldn\'t ask for a more convenient place to stay. John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is 3 miles north, several dive shops within 10 minutes of the house, and there\'s a marina 2 minutes away. Also a great launching point for a day trip to Key West (about 2 hours drive), with super quick access to US-1/Overseas Highway. Had a great time seeing the sights and appreciated having a place to come \"home\" to at the end of each day.

We stayed here over Xmas and had a great time. It was a great alternative to a soulless condo and very well situated for local amenities. The cottage was very well equipped. We didn\'t use the bikes or the grill, but the washing machine and dryer were much appreciated. The kitchen had everything you might need and Roy showed us round when we arrived and made sure we had everything we wanted. Roy could be contacted easily if we had problems, and returned the deposit the day after we left.

My husband and I wanted to visit Key West and the Everglades while on vacation so we decided to stay in Key Largo. We reserved the cottage through flipkey and it was easy. The owner of the property called me within 1 hour of the reservation to make sure we understood how flipkey worked and to also explain how he would communicate with us closer to our vacation date. The cottage was centrally located to visit both Key West and the Everglades and was just off Highway 1 (The only highway through the keys and to and from the mainland). We stayed the last week of October and the Fantasy Fest was happening in Key West so there wasn\'t much going on in Key Largo. However, the cottage was only 1 block away from several boat tours (including the African Queen), kayak and jet ski rentals. The cottage was 3 miles away from Pennekamp State Park and we did visit the state park. The keys have an excellent paved bike/walk path the runs next to Highway 1 and the path is on the same side of Highway 1 as the cottage so the bike/walk path was a piece of cake to access. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. We purchased food at the local grocery store and made breakfast (and coffee) everyday at the cottage. The cottage has a grill (we did not use it) and bikes (we did not use those either)...but we did use the beach chairs and a bag cooler from the kitchen at the beach and the washer and dryer. The cottage had tourist information and WiFi which we used to figure out what we wanted to see/do and to make reservations. The owner stayed in contact through emails and was available by phone if we needed anything. He provided tips on good places to eat/drink, but really just left us alone to enjoy our vacation. It was nice.

just stayed at this smashing cottage, it has all the amenities you could need for a vacation, there are shopping areas easily accessible locally for all your groceries, but it is also ideally located for exploring not only Key Largo but the whole of the Florida Keys! Quite close (almost next door) is the boat from the film African Queen that starred Humphrey Bogart and can be hired for trips out, but there are loads of places to go and see from here and I would Definitely rent this place again

We stayed here for 3 days during our trip to the Keys. The cottage is small but very well organized and has everything you could possibly need or want. The owner, Roy, was extremely responsive and helpful. He spent time on the phone with me explaining about the Sunpass and making restaurant recommendations in the area. It\'s located just off the main drag through Key Largo and is well situated and close to everything. It\'s a one bedroom, one bath cottage and he allowed us to bring our two large dogs with no extra cost. And bicycles were available at the cottage as well.
