SUNSHINE PLACE

This house is perfect for a couple like us with a small dog. Nestled between 2 resort properties, Pelican Bay and Post Card Inn, the house is right on the water and the grounds are beautifully designed and maintained. You feel like you are in a resort, but you have it all to yourself. Sit on the patio and watch the fishing boats come and go and of course the pelicans. There are lots of small iguanas and geckos and one big iguana we nicknamed Iggy. There are also a couple of kayaks for your use as well. A very short walk to Theatre of the Seas, Abels Tackle Shop, Starbucks, Ciao (great dog friendly Italian restaurant) and the TIKI bars at Pelican Bay and Post Card Inn. You are very near the commercial center of Islamorada where there is a grocery store and lots of restaurants and shopping experiences. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook in or barbeque on the gas grill on the the patio. King bed is very comfortable and there is a futon in the living room for a short term guest or two. There is wifi, a good cell signal, and a television in the living room and the bedroom. A/C works great but we didn't use it much, we just opened the triple sliders and enjoyed the breeze off the ocean. The house faces east so in January the sunrises between the palm trees across the inlet and creates a spectacular view if you're up early. My wife and I stayed here for the month of January and absolutely loved it. Working with Keys Holiday Rentals was great, they were responsive to all our inquiries and made us feel welcome. We rented it again for next year and can't wait to go back.

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Sunshine Place to celebrate both of our November birthdays. I have been visiting the keys for many years and this is the best place I have found. The property was very well manicured and very private. It was a little paradise nestled back behind a privacy gate. Although it was Oceanside it was well protected for a small boat and my cockapoo also loved it. We had a couple of iguanas visit and the most exciting was a manatee came in the small canal one morning and we played with it for over an hour. Bentley (my cockapoo) and the manatee almost touched noses. Every morning we drank our coffee and looked out onto the ocean. Very convenient location by the whale harbor bridge and there was a starbucks and a fabulous restaurant Ciao Hound very close by. We ate there twice because it was so delicious. Also really enjoyed Lazy Days, they had the best Conch! The amenities inside the house were great too! Well stocked with just about everything you would need to cook a gourmet meal if you are so inclined to do. The staff at Florida keys rentals really went out of their way to accommodate us too. We were supposed to be there around 3pm and were quite delayed so they were able to work with us and followed up the next day to make sure we had everything we needed. This was a FABULOUS experience.

We've been coming to the keys for about 10 years. This was the first time we brought our boat and rented a house. Andy and her team at Keys Holiday Rental were outstanding before we even got to the house. Once we got to the house we were blown away, the pictures definitely were underrated not overrated as most other pictures for resorts/hotels usually are. The house is fully stocked with everything you could need, pots, pans, kayaks, and even a warm coat in case you need it. We've already booked again for next year! One word of caution there is an orange iguana that really likes to steal your fresh catch!

We loved this condo in a beautiful location with excellent amenities. The standard and facilities are great, beach towels, loungers, coolers , beach chairs in addition to patio sets etc. Just Fabulous

Excellent service and a fantastic property. Just the way rentals should be!

Comfortable bed, sofa not so comfy. Clean and well decorated. Boat dock very close to house. Nearby boat ramp usable during high tide. Gated driveway for added security. Nice view of the ocean. No place to safely get in the water to cool off. Bait and tackle store next door and grocery store less than a mile.

Unfortunately for us, the weather was on the wetter side for our trip to the keys. Luckily we chose a great Rental to stay in, as we spent a fair bit of time indoors! The rental itself had all the facilities that we needed, was clean and tidy, and we received a warm welcome from everyone at Keys Holiday Rentals. We would love to visit again in the future, perhaps during the non rainy season!

Weather was great! Everything is the same at sunshine place as previous yrs. My mom and I caught a double for my favorite fish (permit) and just an all around blast!

Rain or shine...windy or calm...my wife and I enjoyed everyday at Sunshine Place. We are very grateful for the opportunity to share this wonderful location and all the amenities of the area. The ospreys, iguanas, pelicans, and all the natural wonders were a joy to behold. ...just wish we could stay longer...

I never tire of the view from our yard at Sunshine Place. We loved it so much in 2014 that we decided to go back again this year for our 19th anniversary. While there, we went paddle boarding, kayaking and deep sea fishing. Loved the sunrises on the Atlantic side and sunsets from Loralei's and other little spots we discovered. There is so much to do in that area that we decided not to even go to Key West this time. We also enjoyed earing lunch at Wahoo's. Lazy Days and Marker 88 also good eating places. Thanks to the staff at Keys Holiday Rental for being so helpful. I am a camera fanatic, so I got some gorgeous photos!!

Having been acquainted with the area and having been, physically, all 'round the property, occasionally, but never in it - it was a shocking and wonderful surprise that this property existed...never paid attention to it since it's hidden from view due to tall trees. Well, that was then - this is now. Thoroughly enjoyed our stayed there with it's amazing views and sea breezes and most importantly because in case something happened - issues were resolved immediately. A follow-up called was made by them to make sure everything went well. IMPRESSED! We'll stay there again 'in a heart beat'.

We have had absolutely wonderful vacation here at Sunshine Place! I have never been a morning person but found myself awakening early in the morning to go outside and experience the gorgeous sunrise over the ocean. Can't witness anything like that at home! The location was so convenient to restaurants, shopping, marinas etc. The staff at Keys Holiday Rentals were extremely helpful, welcoming and professional and made the process from making our initial reservation to checkout simple and a pleasure. The only problem with our vacation has been that it has not been long enough......but we plan to return next year and for a longer stay!

A surprisingly tranquil place bearing in mind that it is positioned in its own grounds between two neighboring resorts. The rental accommodation is the ground floor of a two story house. The owner occasionally occupies the upper story but we understand that often never occupied at times when the apartment is rented out. There is a large private parking area at the front of the property with gates which can be closed if required. At the rear of the apartment there is a large and shady patio area with very pleasant views across the very well-tended garden towards the ocean. There are two high quality sun recliners and a good-sized patio table with comfortable chairs. Inside is a large dining area with a table to seat up to 6 persons. The kitchen area is adequately big and very well equipped. The lounge area has comfortable seating and there is a large flat screen television. Off the lounge area is a separate restroom with hand basin and large mirror. The Bedroom has a large and comfortable bed and plenty of wall storage cupboards. There is an ensuite bathroom with a good size floor entry shower, toilet and hand basin with a well-lit mirror over it. The laundry facilities are excellent. The wifi gave adequate coverage of the whole of the property and had a very high speed. All of the equipment, furnishings and decor were of a high quality and in very good condition. All in all this was a very pleasing place to stay, we highly recommend it and would seek to rent it again if we stay at Islamorada in the future.

My husband and I stayed here for a week and wish we had booked longer. Everything was fantastic !!!!! Property was extremely clean and well maintained with everything you could wish for and more. Ashley and Andi was very helpful and went out of there way to help us. We arrived late and they went to the property and turned on all the lights for us. We are definitely going back. It was also very safe there which is important to us. We loved the huge bed, brand new bathrooms and so much more. We had an amazing time and cannot wait to go back..

If your looking for the whole package in one this is the place. View, comfortable, privacy and location. Best place I've stayed in the keys, hands down!

We decided to take a drive down to Key West and while beautiful it reinforced our decision to stay at Sunshine Place. What a private oasis it is. The garden and private beach enhance the comfort of the home. Our favorite restaurant was Kaiyo Grill .Great sushi. The folks at Keys Holiday rentals were very helfull with local knowledge, just a great time in the Keys!

We just left Sunshine Place after a wonderful stay! The location is perfect, easy access to restaurants and activities both north and south. Andi was a pleasure to work with including such a friendly welcome with many recommendations. We particularly enjoyed Marker 88 for the sunset, The Banyan Tree for shopping, and Rum Runners for drinks.

My husband, golden retriever and I just left Islamarada where we rented Sunshine Place through Keys Holiday rentals. We loved the location of the poperty being right on the water (oceanside) and the fact that it was pet friendly was awesome ! Restaraunts, boat rental, convience store, bars within walking distance, a real plus! The property was clean, and well equiped;. Andi and her staff were great to work with. We will be back !
