Heviz is a quiet small town with a population of 5000. It is located 5 km from Keszthely and Lake Balaton, 200 km from Budapest and Vienna.
Heviz is well situated to reach the Balaton beaches as well as the aquaparks in Zala. The 77 km long Lake Balaton provides many possibilities for water sport as swimming, windsurfing, water skiing, fishing or sailing.Tennis courts and golf courses can be found nearby. Learn the unique flora and fauna by joining a Nordic walking, cycling or a horse riding tour. Go hiking in the Balaton or Zala hills visiting Tatika, Csobanc, Rezi, Szigliget, Badacsony. Recommended sightseeing around HévÃÂz: Keszthely Festetics castle, Sümeg fortress, Csillagvár fortress, Tapolca cavelake, Herend porcellan factory, Tihany, Badacsony. Visiting Kis-Balaton with its rich bird-life is a must. Watching the Balaton landscape from above with Balaton-ballooning can be a life-long experience. You don’t want to miss tasting famous Hungarian wines in authentic wine sellers locally in Egregy or in Badacsony or in Somlo. With a short drive you can visit 3 other countries: Austria, Croatia, Slovenia.

Spring and Autumn
It is easy to find our house in HévÃÂz. When you turn into Heviz, you will be in the main street, Szechenyi utca. First you cross a beautiful cypress wood, then on your right will be the main parking of Heviz, on the left is the road to the thermal lake. You should continue up the hill to the roundabout. You should take the second exit to the right towards Nemesbuk, then the first right is Kisfaludy utca. Nr 11 will be on the left hand side.
