The entrance porch leads into the dining room with farmhouse table and chairs and a beautiful warm hand-built oak kitchen including dishwasher and washer/dryer. The sitting room is light and comfortable, with new caramel-coloured sofas, a long window seat looking onto the water, log fire, TV/DVD, and desk at the far end. Steep open tread stairs lead from the dining area up to two pretty cottage bedrooms, a double with 5’ bed, a twin room with wash-basin, and a small bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Outside, there is an outhouse with a second freezer, and the famous terrace with garden furniture and barbeque to make the most of the unique position that Pear Tree occupies on the water’s edge. |
