The beach is one of the most beautiful in the Virgin Islands!
Our condo has just gone through a complete renovation since Hurricane Irma and Maria. Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina is one of Saint Thomas's premier resorts with complete amenities. The resort's beach is over a half-mile long, with clear, turquoise water at the shore becoming a rich, deep blue in the distance.
There is nightly entertainment. Amenities include free beach chairs and snorkeling rentals, freshwater pool overlooking the sea along with two tennis courts lit for night play. Volleyball, snorkeling, swimming, wind surfing, sailing: you have it all.
Our unit at Sapphire Beach is luxurious and spacious with spectacular views of Saint John and the British Virgin Islands. Enjoy private balcony, and full kitchen with large living area. The unit has air conditioning, cable TV, ceiling fan, and phones.
Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina is located one mile from the town of Red Hook on the eastern end of the island. Red Hook provides all conveniences and grocery shopping, along with many additional dining options. Ferry service to Saint John and the British Virgin Islands is also available from Red Hook.

We just got back from a 7 day stay at Sapphire Beach in Hong's condo. It was a truly amazing trip. The condo is exceptionally located right on the beach with beautiful views of the water. The beach itself is well maintained and free chairs are included in the stay. The cruise patrons stay farther down the beach so the area in front of the condos is almost empty with plenty of space to spread out. The pool was nice and clean but the bar appears to have been closed indefinitely, but there is a bar/food towards the public side of Sapphire. Parking is very easy and the condos itself are gated - we rented a car so we could explore the island. I would recommend going further into the island to do any grocery shopping (Plaza Extra) as the shops in Red Hook are expensive - but they are very close with only a 2-3 min drive. We are at a few places close by (Senor Pizza we thought was great and the pizza was huge). The only word of caution is if you are a light sleeper we would recommend earplugs - we had some college students above us that stayed up late and you can hear all the noises through the walls and ceilings (mostly chairs/furniture moving) and there are numerous roosters on the property that begin there day around 4 am haha - but after some earplugs we slept soundly through the night. The condo is well equipped and has all the items needed from pots and pans to linens and towels (including 2 beach towels) and snorkeling equipment. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable vacation!

We recently returned from a 10 day vacation in Hong's lovely condo. The location is perfect! Directly on one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever seen. We spent most of our time lounging on the beach with our books and swimming in the warm blue water. The "Cabana boys", Gabriel and Scott (beach chair providers) were so friendly and full of information. Please thank them for us. They made our vacation that much more enjoyable. The Banana Cabana snack shack has wonderful hamburgers, sandwiches and drinks. Located right next to the beach and our condo. Red Hook is a 5 minute drive and has restaurants and grocery stores. We took the car ferry to St. John and it was gorgeous! We also enjoyed having the restaurant and bar located a short walk away at the Sapphire Beach Marina Resort on the hill. Just wish it wasn't so far away from us here in Washington State, although it was well worth the 14 hour trip to get here. Thanks for sharing your condo with us.
My family returned home today from our 5th visit to Hong's amazing condo. Sapphire Beach is such an incredible place. The condo is consistanly clean and well kept. It is stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. Very comfortable and roomy for the four of us. The weather was perfect. The views are like none other. We feel very fortunate to have found this incredible place. Looking forward to trip #6!
