Gilead's Balm Cabin is the perfect 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin located inside the Coosawattee River Resort in the North Georgia Mountains. The name comes from on old world healing balm/remedy that was used by most doctors at the turn of the century. Just like the balm this cabin will help you relax and let the cares of the world melt away in this beautiful cabin. When you walk in you are greeted by a huge great room with a wonderful gas fireplace and comfy set of matching couches and chairs that surround the fireplace. Atop the fireplaces mantle is large flat screen TV that has cable and the cabin comes with high speed internet in case you cant get completely away from work while your up here. The great room extends from the living area to a large dining room table and elegant writing table against the far wall. Finally you have come to the open and large kitchen. With breathtaking stainless steel appliances that stand out beautifully against the cabins all natural wood finishing. This kitchen has everything one could ask for to prepare an amazing home cook meal from start to finish and the clean up is a synch with a stainless dishwasher to help you out. This ranch style cabin has everything on the one floor and that includes the King sized bed master bedroom with a full sized tub and shower for the master bath. The second queen sized bedroom is across the room and next to it is another full bathroom. The couch in the living room is a sleeper sofa and that's how we get to the 6 adults this cabin can sleep.The main deck is off the main floor and it is equipped with a covered seating area and beautiful outdoor living room patio furniture that surrounds an outdoor wood burning fireplace for that romantic night or simply enjoying some smores with the family. If we go downstairs we will find an unfinished basement with a ping pong table in it and it leads to another outdoor deck where we have our relaxing hot tub and gas grill for some great barbeque grilling. We can't forget that Gilead's Balm Cabin is inside the Coosawattee River Resort and you get access to all the amenities inside this resort with a simple swipe of your white amenities card. All in all our Gilead's Balm Cabin is the perfect mountain cabin getaway and can be yours very easily so come and enjoy our old world remedy Gilead's Balm Cabin!. Loved our stay. Great view, cozy cabin.
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay here. The house was well setup, comfortable, and interior fresh and new. Beds were comfortable, verandah area relaxing, access to local pool appreciated, and the hot tub definitely a nice touch. Something to note however access was a little tricky/long due to windy roads..... however this was not an issue for us due to the nature of our stay.
