Description

18th Century traditional Normandy farmhouse vacation rental in idyllic rural location. Situated at Ecots (click here for a map) near St. Pierre-sur-Dives, south of Caen, the vacation rental house sits on a south-facing hillside with fields below and woods above. Purchased in 2001, the house has been refurbished to our own specifications.

La Cote consists of a kitchen/dining room with all modern amenities and a separate utility and W.C. situated off the kitchen. The lounge, off the dining room, is comfortably furnished with a T.V. receiving English channels. A staircase off the dining room leads up to a landing with two bedrooms (two twin bedded rooms). There is also a separate shower room with W.C. and a further bathroom with W.C.

Outside there is a south-west facing garden with ample seating to enjoy an aperitif whilst watching the sunset. We have our own small orchard opposite and there are paths leading up into the woods where you can walk.

La Côte is situated in the heart of the Calvados region made famous for its cider and cheeses. The town of St. Pierre-sur-Dives is five minutes away and has a wonderful market every Monday and the town caters for all our needs. Further north, some forty minutes drive, is the coast with Honfleur, Deauville and Trouville. To the west are the Normandy beaches and the Memorial de Caen and Bayeux, famous for its tapestry.

We charge, which includes all utility costs, bed lined but not towels,  £520.00 per 7 nights for bookings in the months of June, July, August and September and for the remainder of the year £490.00. There will be someone there to greet you and close up as you leave. Should you wish to book there is a £50.00 deposit which is returned to you after your stay providing the property is left as you found it.
