Situated about 2 miles from the coast, near the village of Delabole on the B3314, there are 16 bungalows set in peaceful and secluded surroundings on part of our 14 acres, approached by the ‘old farm lane’. You are likely to hear sheep bleating in the neighbouring fields, or the owl hooting at dusk, and see the rabbits at play in the early morning.
It is an ideal "get away from it all" base for a holiday with beautiful sandy beaches and spectacular scenery. Visitors enjoy exploring and discovering this unspoilt haven of Cornwall.
The bungalows are built in pairs and are of a brick, cavity wall and tiled roof construction, with panoramic views over looking the Allen Valley. There is an open plan lounge/kitchen (29ftx9ft approx.), 2 bedrooms (9ftx9ft approx.) and a small lobby leading to the bathroom and separate toilet.
The kitchen area is equipped with cooker, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery and cooking utensils. An immersion heater, shaver point and electric meter are in the lobby and in the lounge area a convector fire and colour T.V.
The bungalow sleeps up to 6 people with one double bed, two single beds and a double put-u-up settee. Blankets and pillows are provided. Please bring bed linen, towels and tea towels. A cot is available (no charge) on request. Electricity is metered (£1 coins). We regret that dogs are not allowed at Delamere. Outside, there is plenty of space for the family to relax or play, with paths leading across the grass from the upper or lower row of bungalows to the car-park.
Delamere was once a farm, and although not working now, we still have a barn and outbuilding on the property, and our two large fields are used for grazing. Delabole village is about half a mile away and has grocery stores, newsagent, post office, garage, pub and restaurant.
