About arlene schubert This is a family farm that has been in our family since 1835. We raise all natural Charolais cattle. arlene schubert purchased this Chalet in 2010 Why arlene schubert chose Davenport This home was once part of the farm and we had a chance to bring it back into the family. What makes this Chalet unique You will enjoy a great country experience with full access to life on the farm.

We stayed in the home for 2 nights and it was exactly what was described in the listing. The host was very accommodating, and the home was full of blankets/towels as she mentioned they would be. The large deck is perfect for gathering family/friends. Plenty of parking. The property itself is gorgeous, with a lake about 25 yards behing the house! Gorgeous! The night sky is gorgeous from the view from the home, and the animals on the farm are truly a treat. I have nothing bad to say about this property/host/experience. A big thanks to the host for having us, and WE WILL BE BACK TO STAY AGAIN! Thank you!!!
Had the opportunity to spend President's Day weekend at this property with a group of 12. The weather was fantastic for a winter weekend with a combination of snow/sun cool and cold days. The kids (and adults) loved sledding, visiting the farm multiple times a day, feeding and petting all the animals (cows, sheep, goats, horses, rabbits) and extremely friendly dogs that roam the farm. We brought our dog from home and they all got along swell! The family that runs the farm is extremely friendly. I enjoyed talking to Norm multiple times about farm operations and the history of the property; Sara was our reliable, friendly, and extremely patient guide. Arlene was great in getting the visit arranged and answered all my questions - multiple times. The house itself has a fantastic view through the large front "glass wall." the pictures are very accurate in showing what you can expect of the property. We only needed to bring our own food as the house is stocked with everything else you could possibly need. I hope to visit again soon. It is worth coming by just to stop by their farm store to buy beef/lamb/goat/chicken (and pork which I don't eat). Their prices are phenomenal and I would be there weekly if it wasn't 3.5 hours from home. They also sell maple syrup made from the trees on their property, and If I recall correctly honey as well. Arlene and Norm - thank you for hosting us and may your farm be blessed with much prosperity!
Sunrise is beautiful
Our trip was amazing, and we never left the house. We had fun sledding when it snowed, we sat by the fireplace. The house made our Christmas feel magical! The view from inside the house was AMAZING. Everyone loved the house and did not want to leave, bur unfortunately we all had to go back to work :( but the owners are so thoughtful and left us a little treat when we got there. They decorated very nicely for Christmas and even got us a tree! We just loved everything about this house. We are definitely going back! Thank you so much Arlene for making our stay wonderful.
