About the Owner

I am a Chartered Accountant, originally from Alberta. Born and raised in Lethbridge and worked in the Calgary oil patch for 10 years in the 1980's. I spent the 90's living and working in the states, Omaha,NE, Birmingham AL, and most of it in Houston TX. I love sailing, golfing, tennis, waterskiing, scuba diving and being outdoors. For the last 15 years I have been selling real estate in Kelowna and loving the Okanagan lifestyle. Patricia Livingstone purchased this cottage in 2006 I have 2 sons, now 28 and 26. They love the lake and in the summer time they waterski and wakeboard. The cottage is perfect for enjoying water sports. The lake is quieter at Secret Point as it is away from all the summer tourists. The water is crystal clear and inviting.

Relaxing Weekend

Spent the weekend with relaxing with my wife, we just enjoyed the sites and quiet relaxing atmosphere, we stayed 3 nights, next time will be 7. Cabin is stocked very well with all dishes you will need. Very comfy and cozy!! Will be returning!!

I had an absolutely fabulous time here! We stayed June 5-9th and it was lovely because the area was so quiet and even though the cottages are so close together you hardly noticed. The cottage was adorable, beautifully decorated. It got hot at times but there were several fans inside that helped a lot. I would definitely stay here again! Unfortunately there was a boil water advisory and the (only) road to Kelowna was closed at certain times of the day, which I wish I had known (but that is certainly no fault of this location/listing)

We stayed in these cottages for 8 nights. We began the trip in a cottage a few doors down, managed by the owner, but the Internet had mistakenly been cancelled and the owner was quick to place us in her own rental which had just become available.Everything was as the photos and description described and we had GPS and so had no problems finding the location, which is, as described, 'secret' and as with many of the other properties, not visible from the road. The cottage was lovely and quiet and had been cleaned and prepared for our arrival. It has a full kitchen and plenty of towels and clean linen, as well as a washer/dryer with laundry soap. After the initial Internet mishap, the owner was quick to call me to sort it out and offer her own cottage. She then kindly returned our damage deposit a week before the end of our trip, together with a small refund to the rate for our trouble, without any requests on our part. I found her most accommodating, easy to reach and easy to speak to. I believe we had the entire complex to ourselves and we ventured out very little just enjoying that the weather was mild enough to leave the window open to hear the lake and quiet enough to enjoy it. It was really lovely. I would recommend this to anyone and hope perhaps to come back ourselves.

Idyllic setting

We chose this property because we wanted a setting that was tranquil and beautiful. We were both extremely happy with the accommodations. The cottage is well-equipped and offers a very romantic setting The view from any of the decks has remained with us now that we are back to our busy lives.. We toured many wineries during the day and it was lovely to come "home" to our cottage for a restful evening. The scenery is breathtaking and every person we encountered during our stay was warm and welcoming. We would highly recommend this property. A caution to wine-lovers - we chose to do our touring and tasting during the day so we could ensure a safe journey home on the winding road to the cottage. Enjoy! We would l chose this property again, we both wished we could retire here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage last summer. The location was great, it was very peaceful. We enjoyed the visiting the wineries and golf courses in the area. The cottage was set up well for entertaining, we had family and friends over for dinner a few times and everyone was very comfortable. The views from the balconies and windows over looking the lake were breathtaking. We enjoyed using the dock for swimming, fishing and some of our friends were able to pull up with their boat and use the buoy for a visit. We will definately be recommending the cottage to friends and family and will be back again in the near future.
