Two detached stone barn conversions, sleeping a total of 15 people, built around a traditional courtyard, in a glorious rural position, yet only 4 miles from a thriving market town. Home Barn is very spacious and large enough to act as a central relaxing and eating area if desired, while the Old Byre allows privacy and the ability for the youngest and perhaps the oldest in a family group to leave while the 'night owls' are still in full voice in the main barn. Located in idyllic Cotswold countryside, close to the Windrush valley and in the area of the old Wychwood Forest, yet within easy striking distance of Burford, Oxford, Blenheim, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water. Nearby, on the banks of the Windrush, are the old ruins of Minster Lovell Hall and there are many other attractions and places of interest to be found locally. The Barns are comfortable and very fully equipped. Both are centrally heated and facilities include satellite TV and DVD players. There are plenty of books for those who decide to have a lazy day and large scale Ordnance Survey maps of the area are provided. Our guests also have the use of the three acre field next to the Barns, which contains some fifty varieties of wild flowers and plants.
Home Barn Accommodation for ten maximum - in five bedrooms with four bathrooms. Three are double (two en-suite) and two twin-bedded (one en-suite). This barn has a lovely cathedral roofed and beamed sitting room, with oak floors, and a feature fireplace with wood burner. There is a spacious farmhouse Kitchen with an extensive range of cupboards and a massive dining table with seating for up to 15. The Kitchen is fully equipped with a range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, tumble dryer, fridge-freezer and ample equipment for a party of 15, which avoids having to transfer equipment from The Old Byre when both are rented together. There is a separate Utility room with washing machine and WC. The ‘family' bathroom also has a separate high pressure shower unit. Home Barn has the private use of the large South-facing courtyard, which is equipped with garden furniture and a real sun-trap. Home Barn is very spacious and well suited to acting as a central living area, where more than one family or a group of friends have booked both barns.
