Connemara's longest established hotel, situated in the picturesque town of Clifden, has been owned and managed by the Foyle family for nearly a century. This impressive building, which has played host to many famous personalities over the years, has recently been redesigned to the highest modern standards, yet retains much of its old charm and atmosphere. Foyles Hotel is the ideal central point from which to explore Connemara and enjoy the many amenities it has to offer. The 18-hole championship golf course is 15 minutes drive from the hotel, with a beautiful sandy beach running alongside the course. Deep sea fishing is available from Clifden Harbour and arrangements can be made for fresh water fishing and also for horse riding.

What really sets the Foyles Hotel apart is the quality of overnight accommodation. There are 30 en-suite bedrooms. Each bedroom is fitted out to the highest standards of comfort. As a dining venue the hotel is acclaimed Local and overseas visitors alike. Mouthwatering beef, world-renowned Irish salmon, sea trout and seafood, tender Conemara lamb and fresh vegetables are prepared with meticulous care by internationally experienced chefs. The menus are vast and imaginative, including interesting vegetarian dishes, and all accompanied by an extensive wine list.

Our Bedrooms are tastefully designed to give an atmosphere of relaxation and luxury with en-suite bathrooms accompanying all of the rooms. All bedrooms are equipped with all modern conveniences. We have 30 bedrooms which include: En Suite Bathrooms, Satellite TV, Coffee making facilities, Hair dryers, Telephone, Non - smoking rooms ( on request ). While staying in our hotel you could spend time resting in our patio garden. The hotel dining and breakfast room offers tasty alternatives in a very cosy atmosphere. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner is served. The hotel restaurant serves from 7.30 AM to 9.30 PM. Our public bar offers an interesting blend of hotel guests and a local characters renowned for it's biweekly Thursday night open mic sessions, impromptu gigs and all round good craic.
