Locted behind China Peak, Cordwood Cabin is the perfect get-a-way for winter or summer activities. Cordwood cabin is nestled in the beautiful pines at 7200 feet in the beautiful central Sierras, just one hour from Fresno on Highway 168. Front door access to most mountain sports is available. Rock crawling, camping or fishing at remote lakes ( four pristine lakes within seven miles), sifting through the nearby stream with your kids are just a few of the activities available in the summer. Cross country sking and snowmobiling is available during winter months. We can have sleds delivered to your doorstep for hours of family fun!
Peace and quite in a small, residential neighborhood allows safety for children and privacy for romantic getaways. Two small towns are located ten (Huntington Lake) and fifteen minutes (Shaver Lake) away.
Cabin is comfortable and cozy for fun times in front of the fire and heated flooring. Our yard is large and private with space for a game of badminton or horse shoes. Wedding receptions have been held here!
Summertime highs average around 70-75 degrees and winter time is perfect for snow sports with temperatures from 25- 40 degrees on a sunny day.

we had lots of fun. the fire was nice and warm and there was plenty of snow.
Great location to ski China Peak. Simple cabin with great space filled with snow. Easily accomadated a family of six. Thoroughly enjoyed the DVD collection. Good communication with Lee when we some problems on VRBO. Very limited cell phone reception and no land line. So make sure you contact Lee to make sure everything is squared away. Thanks for your place Lee!
We loved this place and totally enjoyed our stay. Nice and cozy house. We had a great fireplace and also had a campfire in the backyard. Beautiful location, with woods in the back.
This cabin is perfect for a nice getaway. We drove a short distance to Huntington Lake for the day. We did some fishing and took a nice swim in the lake! We came back to the cabin had some dinner and relaxed by the fire pit. The next morning we got up early and once again drove a short distance to Shaver Lake where we rented a pontoon, went swimming, and caught Alot of fish! All around this was the perfect distance to both lakes and the perfect place to go if you want some peace and quiet and just relax after a day of adventure. Lee was so kind to answer any questions we had and give us advice on fishing and boat rentals! We will definitely be back!
This cabin is a perfect place for a group of close friends or even two families with kids like we had. My wife and two kids along with my friend, his wife and one child stayed here and will be planning another trip very soon!! Lee was amazing!! He had the place warmed up when we arrived and made our stay effortless as far as accommodations!! This cabin is rustic yet elegant. Heated by a wood burning stove which by the way needed to be turned down because it worked so well. Lee thank you again for making our trip to the snow so memorable ! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a home away from home in the snow! We will be planning another trip very soon before the seasons out. Thank you again!!
