A convenience store, takeaway and an internet café are right next door. Just a short stroll from the apartment, you have restaurants, IGA supermarket, bottle shop, post office, hairdressers/beauty salons, licensed clubs, video shop. An 18 hole GOLF COURSE, Half Moon Bay, is just two par fives from our apartments. They offer discounted green fees for our guests ($30 for 18 holes). Yorkeys Knob Boat and Yachting Club serve meals and drinks on the deck overlooking Half Moon Bay, the marina and Double Island. They have pokies, keno, pool tables and offer courtesy bus service.

To reach the Mediterranean please drive North along the Cook Highway for 11 kilometres - take the third round-about turn right. (first is Machans Beach, second is Holloways Beach and third is Yorkeys Knob Beach)Travel along Yorkeys Knob Rd/Varley Street for 5 kilometres - continue past the shops - the road veers right and on to the Esplanade. Mediterranean is the second building on the right 77 Sims Esplanade, Yorkeys Knob. Please contact Trish a day or two prior to arrival and she will advise your apartment number and access arrangements.
Regular bus services operate to Cairns and Smithfield Shopping Centre. Bus stop is opposite the apartments. Hire cars are available locally.

Trish was absolutely terrific during this most enjoyable visit. She provided outstanding ideas for points of interest, booked and re-planned events around an unfortunate illness, and went "above and beyond" in all areas. The rental was as advertised. It was comfortable, clean, and within a few steps of the beach. We loved being able to swim at the beach every evening, and The Beach Place right next door was good for breakfast. Ended up enjoying the rental much more because it was so relaxing. We would very highly recommend this rental and Trish to anyone wanting to maximize their visit to the Cairns area!
