Throughout the cabin, locally harvested timber and beams are just a few of the special touches used to make this home a one of a kind. The interior décor includes original art work and rustic decorations collected by the owners, which welcomes you to a warm surrounding. The large living area has a two-story rock fireplace which is perfect to snuggle up in front of on those chilly winter nights. The leather sofa and chair make for comfortable seating while watching one of the two TV’s with Dish Satellite (including movie channels) or your favorite movie on the DVD player. But the most noticeable feature on the main level is the kitchen; Big Bear is full of first class amenities - appliances, cookware, serving pieces, plates, glasses, etc. These include a full size refrigerator with ice maker, two-drawer dishwasher, convection oven with flat stove top, microwave, trash compactor, wine cooler, coffee pot, blender for margaritas, griddle, and ice cream maker. It is also the perfect place to prepare a quick breakfast or lunch before heading out to lake, or a nice dinner for a quiet evening at home. The amazing 10 person bar top counter provides seating along the kitchen’s two-level counter tops allowing for fun conversations and meals. This is a favorite among guests. Big Bear is designed to sleep 7 comfortably, but is roomy enough to add an air mattress or two for kids or additional guests. The main level features 2 bedrooms, a full size bathroom, and a laundry area with washer & dryer located just off the bathroom. The bedrooms have a queen bed in one and two twins in the second. Each bedroom is comfortably furnished and decorated to fit the forest environment. Luxury bedding including 600 thread count sheets and plush bedding highlight each room. Additional entertainment provided at the cabin include a Radio/CD player, plenty of traditional board games, dominoes, cards, horseshoes, and more.
The upper level features an amazing Master Loft furnished with a queen bed and a twin sleeper sofa along with a full private bath. This is ideal for a couple, or a family with a small child who doesn’t want to be too far from his parents. Other amenities include a pack-n-play with sheets and a high-chair for families with young children. It also has a TV for watching your favorite programs in cozy comfort, or you can catch up on your on your reading on the comfortable sofa. Step out onto the spacious covered porches and enjoy a quiet evening in the 5 person hot tub. All hot tubs are drained, cleaned and refilled after each visit. The covered back porch looks out into the peaceful forest surroundings and includes multiply ceiling fans to provide additional enjoyment on those summer evenings. The gas grill is ready to cook that rib eye steak, or you can grill a hamburger or hot dog on the charcoal grill. While the food is sizzling on the grill, enjoy the fire pit right outside. Camp firewood is furnished. It's the perfect place to gather around and roast marshmallows. Being only a stones throw away from the park entrance, Big Bear gives the boater’s and fishermen in the family easy access to Broken Bow Lake and Mountain Fork River with its famous fly fishing.
