We grew up in Fl & the kids were born there. Then my hubby's co moved us to Memphis where we've been landlocked. I'd always seen the other side of the state, then we visited Destin~wow! Truly sugar white beaches & beautiful blue water. We bought a 2nd home. A few months later we bought our 1st rental because I wanted others to be as happy as me. A few years later we bought the house next door. I've loved doing this. Renters (usually) are great! My hubby works for AutoZone, is an avid cyclist on a team that races. He also loves cars & races them too. We have 4 kids, 17 (girl), 18, 19, & 22 (boys, 1 taken in). They are my life & I love being a mom. They have all been involved in the rentals one way or another~several have done data entry for taxes, several have helped work on the houses, & 2 fixed a toilet! I am an artist at heart and a decorator~so if you stay at Pelican Landing, know we got rid of 90% of what was in there upon buying, and I completely redid the whole thing & had it repainted baseboards to ceilings. Had my housekeeper make the headboard in the orange room & the dinning table that seats 12! I've added a lot of my own touches to Flamingo Landing. We're there summers.
