Perfect venue for corporate events and romantic sunset weddings.The villa is 5 minutes to the 7 mile beach, 5mins to the world famous ricks café, 1min to local restaurants. Daily maid service. Kathryn is an amazing host and we absolutely loved our Christmas break stay @ Castle Cove villa. Her passion for providing a great experience clearly shows and the onsite property manager 'Robin' was an absolute delight to work with. Robin was there whenever we needed her while also giving us the necessary space for a family vacation. Icing on the cake was - Chef Teddy, the onsite chef that can be hired for an additional cost. I would strongly recommend utilizing Chef Teddy's services and you would not regret doing so. His food was delicious and pricing was very reasonable. We are vegetarian group and he made some AWESOME veggie dishes (Pumpkin soup was our favorite among favorites) and the kids absolutely adored him. They even wanted to take him back to the states with us :-). Highly recommend Castle Cove and definitely go with Chef Teddy! Thanks Kathryn and Robin.
Loved the entire trip. From Demar to Vincent and all in between, it was a great time.
This property is beautiful and spacious and very clean. There was 14 of us and we really enjoyed our stay for the most part. We had a few issues I think could be settled with better communication with owner and her staff, and someone to give a orientation of the property. A information/orientation book for guest at the house would be great. Housekeepers should be optional to allow time to sleep in if you like or if you just prefer to do it yourself which is why we get a home on vacation. The tile stairs in the home and outside are various heights but same type so they are hard to see and slippery, some type of marking for safety would be great, please be careful we had a few tumbles. Also if you need to use a taxi I highly recommend using someone outside the property we found $10 a ride/ per person to Hi-Lo about a mile in half was WAY to EXPENSIVE (that would have been $140, look for Dale or Lisa they were very reasonable and very safe, and legal taxi drivers. Please be mindful that the sidewalks to the pool are VERY slippery and there is no gate to the stairs leading down to the cove if you have children or too much to drink. I would recommend staying here as long as you have clear communications especially around the laundry, housekeeping and security (they like to sit on the porch uninvited) and mindful of the stairs. You could not ask for a more beautiful and peaceful place. Owner seem to get irritated with us related to a laundry issue, staff wanted to charge $10 for a cup of laundry detergent but there was nothing about that in the contract only to find out staff was incorrect in charging us for laundry we were doing ourselves. Even though we had a few bumps in the road it doesn't take away from the beauty of this property and the overall good time we had here. I believe they are striving to have a really great place and you can tell.
We had the pleasure of staying at the property with 2 other couples while we were in Negril for a destination wedding. Before our arrival we were well informed on the check in process and what to expect upon arrival. From the minute we got there we were very well taken care of and the staff was great. Throughout the stay the house was cleaned daily by the housekeeper and we utilized the transportation provided. We had to go about 3 miles to the resort multiple time throughout the weekend for the wedding festivities, and although the transportation was pricey compared to calling a taxi on the street, it was very reliable so we thought worth it. I would absolutely reccomend staying there to anyone interested and stay there again myself. Overall, we had a great experience!
We had an amazing time in Jamaica at the Castle Cove Villa! I'd like to start by saying the negative reviews must be coming from those that have never vacationed in the tropics - this villa is great & one of the nicest villas we have stayed at with our family in the Caribbean! The villa was clean, beautifully decorated with island tropical decor and offered an absolutely stunning view of the ocean! Our kids went snorkeling in the cove daily, enjoyed the pool and we were all well taken care of by Ms. U and Nikko. We were a taxi ride away from Rick's Cafe and awesome beaches, which we enjoyed. We also ate at the neighboring restaurants and bought fresh fruit from the man on the outside corner of our lot. 11 of us stayed and all were very comfortable and content with everything. Did we have some ants? Some, not bad - any issue we had was quickly cleared up by the staff. This is just part of the Caribbean, just like the wonderful heat, relaxing atmosphere and gorgeous views of the sea! For anyone looking for an amazing place to stay in Jamaica, I highly recommend this villa. Katheryn, the owner, was very nice to work with and her family running the villa became our friends. Someday I hope to return!
