Description

This is a relatively undiscovered beautiful stretch of sand and is home to diverse and striking ecology only at 1 hour 1/2 from the Juan Santa Maria International Airport (SJO).
 
Our property hosts both sandy inter-tidal and the mangrove estuary ecosystems. You will enjoy spotting various fauna, including the owl butterfly, the stocky green iguana, the scarlet macaw, flocks of pelicans overhead, along with an assortment of other colorful birds, as well as a variety of crabs and frogs.
 
If you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of the white-faced capuchin monkey along the esterillos (estuary).

Tucked away on the beach, this is a peaceful relaxing safe location.
The picturesque beach is a sandy surfers haven, maintaining a close distance to the highway, gas, shopping, restaurants, and many national parks and wildlife reserves.
Twenty minutes south of Jacó and forty five minutes North of Manuel Antonio in a secluded beach community of private homes.

About the Owner

I chose to live in Costa Rica because my work made me travel between Mexico and South America, so I said “Why not live there all year?” Costa Rica is a democratic country where medical care is very good, we have public and private hospitals, primary schools, colleges and universities internationally recognised. The Central Pacific has beautiful long beaches with panoramic views and an ambient temperature between 26° and 34° (79° to 93° Fahrenheit) throughout the year. Personally, I hate the cold, so I said goodbye to our winters in Quebec and I went with my son, who was 13 at the time, to this hot country. I’d be lying if I said it was always easy, but today, after more than 22 years, I can assist you with this new experience.

A PIECE OF PARADISE!

My wife & I spent 9 glorious days at this home in April 2016. It seemed like the perfect time to visit prior to the upcoming rainy season. Claudette, the manager of the property, was extremely helpful from the start of reservation to the time of our arrival. She was diligent in responding to our emails concerning questions and advise prior to arriving. She assisted with our car rental arrangements with Adobe Car Rental (highly recommend)! Upon arrival, she met us and helped us become familiar with our new surroundings. The home presents itself exactly as the photos represent. It was clean, comfortable, good A/C, water pressure, internet, cable TV, and a spacious porch with a hammock, which got a lot of use. The beach access could not be better, walk down the driveway to the beach. We had the beach to ourselves for the majority of the time, warm water, and good waves to swim and surf. We are beach people, so not having any crowds or intrusions on the beach was fantastic. Claudette was able to refer us to a superb boat captain for inshore and offshore fishing while we were there. We fished 2 separate mornings and ate our catch at the end of the day. The chef at the nearby beach restaurant/hotel prepared our catch for dinner that same evening. What a setting for dinner!! The Esterillos Centro location was ideally located between Jaco Beach and Manuel Antonio. Make sure you visit both towns. We made several trips to Jaco Beach as they have larger grocery stores (Auto Macado), banks/ATM, and pharmacies. A visit to Los Suenos Resort and Marina is worth the time near Jaco. A rental car is a necessity with this rental home, but allows you to tour the countryside, try local restaurants, and mix in the local culture. We also took a 3 hour ATV tour among the hills providing breathtaking views, swimming in the waterfalls, and driving in the river beds, a real blast! We felt very safe in the home and the area, using normal judgement of locking the doors at night and not tempting things to theft. The house is wired with an alarm system for added security. This was one of our top vacations and we made many friends in this small town. We plan to visit again next year and will reserve this home again, already looking forward to Claudette’s hospitality and accommodation!

A great little hideaway

My husband and I needed to get away and decompress from life. This was the perfect little house for us. Right across the way from a beautiful beach and quiet. Claudia was a fantastic host, available for any questions that we had. Do not miss having Erika come over for a wonderful massage and get your fish and lobster from the local fisherman right there in Centro. The house is simply appointed, but the air conditioning works great and the hot water is HOT! A quiet and romantic getaway. We recommend this house highly.

WE HAVE STAYED AT THIS BEAUTIFUL PARADIS FOR ONE MONTH THE HOUSE IS VERY COMFORTABLE WARM AND SUPER CLEAN ON THE BEACH IT IS LIKE HAVING YOUR PRIVATE BEACH.THIS PLACE IS TO RELAX AND ENJOY EVERY SUNSET.YOU CAN WALK MILES AND MILES ON THAT BEACH .THE LOCATION IS PERFECT BECAUSE IF YOU WANT NIGHT ENTERTAINEMENT IT IS AVAILABLE AT JACO BEACH 15 MINUTES OR TWO MINUTES AT ESTERILLOS WEST.IT S THE PLACE TO GO.
